I wonder, has Axl ever thought about running a label, or producing?   The man spots talent, and for me, being a music aficionado myself, that has always been one of my attractions to GNR.  The band always knew and referenced the greats (New York Dolls, Queen, Sub Humans), respected the current talent of their times (Big Dumb Sex mix into T-Rex, asking the Smashing Pumpkins to open when they were only a regional name), and now are really proving it by asking the Die Manequins to open along with the college student beloved EODM!!   GNR is a melting pot of sound--and always will be!  This is what makes this band so undeniably seductive!  The constant in this band, is the appreciation for not only great, but edgy, hip fuckin music.  Honky Toast, Love Split Love, The Mats, Pitman (can I say more--Zaum, Tool), Dizzy "Stardust" Reed, NIN, Primus, Bash n' Pop, Perfect, etc, etc.  The names, the jam sessions, the talent, the hip-ness!   This band, right now, is one of the hippest, most intelligent rock bands ever assembled!  Their influences run deep, the connections in the industry far and wide, and their knowledge of what is not only "real," but on the frickin cusp of rock n' roll insanity, is second to none!    These guy's should start their own label, distribute their bands digitally--along with producing them, and save fuckin rock n' roll!!  The vision, and understanding of what's happening below the surface is brilliant, and inspiring!!

Nice job picking these bands guys!  This was great marketing, on the street level!  Guns n' fuckin Roses!!  Man, am I loving this tour--it's all about the music, the madness, and rockin your brains out!!!  The vision, the spirit, the babes!

I was gonna say the same thing.  Last I heard, US had 4 bands signed to the label in 1995....wonder why Uzi Suicide is no more.  Maybe it would have been too big of a hassle legally.

All the talent would release an album every 10 years, it would go under.

I went to the front page of Yahoo music--it's funny, because Bullet for My Vallentine just won the users choice video award, and they are featuring the debut of Papa Roach's new video!  Wonder who those two bands were opening for this year? Moreover, I wonder how many teenage and college aged fans those bands have that have read they are opening for GN'R, and are now in turn discovering GNR?

Talk about irony.  Could you imagine Axl pushing for a band to finish their damned album already?

I talked to a guy once who has been in the music industry for years and without even knowing I was a gnr fan(because this was outside of a cheap trick show), he mentioned how record companies always bullshit the public just for hype or any other reason, then he went on to say that Uzi Suicide was all bullshit and that they had already signed to geffen at that time and geffen just used the name uzi suicide for their own reasons. I never thought much of this untill the new izzy interview where he said that they got signed to geffen in 85 or 86 and if that's the case it makes perfect sense. Either way I still have an original copy of Live?!*@ Like A Suicide so whatever.
