What all can you tell me about this band? I'll be in Cleveland on the 24th.

I can tell you they do a BAD ASS cover of "Stuck In The Middle With You" on their first album.

So here in Detroit what are we getting???

Suicide Girls/Bach/Eagles then GNR???

No, I apologise, songs like Feelgood Hit Of The Summer, First It Giveth, Mosquito Song etc. are nothing like the kind of dross put out by arch college students, and are raw with driving soul, and emotion. Clearly I'm wrong. (And before you point it out, yes I do know that that's QOTSA and not EODM).

Or....hey....did it occur to you that maybe I do get it, and just don't like them? Or in your mind are all differing opinions just ill informed? I saw the band (EODM) twice and heard the first album. Songs about wiggling and loving your monkey, sang in monotone, played on the same 3 chords to the same beat in the same key for 60 minutes, in my opinion, ain't great. Say it with me. "Oh-pin-ee-on". I heard the music, and I formed one.

So anyone know exactly how many openers there are from Cleveland on?

Maybe, but most likely kidding, or the press turned it around.  Queens of the Stone Age, and EODM are brilliant.  For some reason, I think Tommy is friends with Josh Homme.

You're talking about Samantha Maloney, formerly of Hole and Motley Crue for a short while. She's actually drumming for Peaches now. Gene Troutman, formerly of QOTSA, is the new drummer for the Eagles.

You're talking about Samantha Maloney

She's pretty great, despite playing for so many crappy bands.

I saw these guys open for Joan Jett a little while ago. Didn't know anything about them (except that I liked their name). They put on a GREAT show (Joan fuckin rocked, too -- no surprise there). The frontman is a trip; LOTS of charisma and stage presence. This was in a small club (the TLA in Philly) so I don't know how well their show will translate to a larger stage, but I had a great time. One of those bands that just puts a smile on your face because they're having such a great fucking time (their guitar player looks like Truman Capote witha mohawk and the singer/guitarist has a definite 70's porn star vibe about him). I'd say get close if you can, to fully appreciate this show.
