The waiting is the hardest part...stop bitching and spreading rumors!

Look, I know everyone is waiting on pins and needles for a release date. At this point, who isn't? But just because there is news coming right around the corner that doesn't mean there is news to report RIGHT now. Though at first I was annoyed about the constant deleting...but think about it from HTGTH's point of view. Their goal is create the authorative site on information surrounding GNR. How can Jarmo and the gang do that when idiots keep coming onto the board and posting false rumors?

"Yeah, I heard this guy at Best Buy say he has a copy of the album in the back and it's coming out tomorrow..."

How many time have we heard crap like this? I know deleting is a bit of a nuclear option, but at this point, there are too many rumors for them to sit there and deny, deny, deny every five minutes. I guarantee you, when there is REAL news to report, we will get first notice of it here. But right now, I seriously doubt there is anything groundbreaking to report. Anything they could report...we already know. Are they supposed to put out a press release every week saying the same thing?

I know for one, I get very excited when I read a rumor about a possible release date. The problem is 99.99% of the time, they are false. I'm getting sick of it. Buying into the false rumors and getting disappointd is probably more frustrating than having those false rumors deleted. Other times, there may be potential promotions they are trying to do. They don't want the info getting out there until it's official.

Hypothetically, let's say they were trying to do a GNR ipod and the info leaks and goes all over the internet. Then, for some reason, the deal fails. All the fans will be disappointed and all the media will turn this around on Axl and give more bad publicity for something he didn't even do. You have to remember how bias the media is toward Axl.

Like Tom Petty said, "the waiting is the hardest part..." I know it's frustrating...but right now, all we can do is wait. When real news is going to come...trust me, when it's time, they will let us know.
