« on: November 13, 2006, 11:58:42 AM »

In the second episode of TuneCore's podcast with Jeff Price, he's done a phone interview with former Guns N' Roses rythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin. In the half hour long interview they talk about making the albums, the rise to fame, leaving GN'R and what happens next. When asked if he'll be out touring anytime soon, Izzy says:
"I may do some shows with Axl out here on the west coast around Christmas"

yes, the prodigal son perhaps. ?Gee, I would think Minneapolis in December would have been a one of Izzy's top choices to join the band. ?I mean, snow, 20 degrees, can't beat it.

wow , he sobered up on December 15th 1989 , interesting he had been partying since he was 15. In 1991 after touring others around him were really out of control. He decided to do something else he went back to Indiana. He hooked up with all friends from grade school.Ice racing and other stuff

He signed a 2 album solo deal with Geffen. And toured with the "hounds" over seas........last Geffen record was in 1995....1996 no label involved...doing independent . ..... that japan tour duff played bass (1996).Good to see him and Duff and him still talk to these days.......did a record up in Seattle ( same place as nirvana)....used 24 track 2 inch tape.like a dog was done in dallas with pro tools....all digital. He's all good with the digital age....weather your grabbing a song or half a album from itunes or whatever

cause he says there is only 3 outlets back when he was 15 , 3 music magazines and thats it.

i agree.

i honestly dont think there is a cooler cat on the planet. im quite jealous.
dont really care if he does the gnr shows mind, it doesnt add or detract from the ultimate coolness he carries. though it would be nice for the fans in attendance.

Would be so Amazing to have Izzy back again. Pernamently, that is.
Finck should go back to Live-NIN where he belongs, giving room for Izzy in GNR. Thus, Aaron North could unite with what's left of Izzy's old solo band.
Possibly under name Aaron's Appetite. They could cover old Izzy tunes and Mr Brownstone. It would be a perfect switch, where everyone wins.  yes
