This is a joke. and im going with a long time GNR fan whos only 17. This is BS.

And as for this, in case you're not aware, in the second song that GNR is likely going to play (to pick the first one that comes to my head), Axl is going to sing "Turn around bitch I got a use for you, besides; you ain't got nothin' better to do, and I'm bored!"

Point being, if you're concerned about the messages that will be sent to this lad or lass who is only 17 (and I'm sure has never seen a half-naked woman) about sexuality, I think that the Suicide Girls are going to provide a much healthier perspective on sex than some of GNR's more nihilistic lyrics.

I think he was referring to the fact that if you go to buy tickets for Suicide Girls it says "18 years or older allowed".

Oh, I see. My bad. But in that case it highlights an undeniable hypocrisy in American censorship norms. That sucks for the 17 year old if he/she can't get in, but blame that on the theocons and not GNR.

It's not as hypocritical as the british law.  Here you can have sex at 16, but you can't see sex or look at a naked woman til you're 18.
Technically, for the first two years, we're supposed to fuck with the lights off. hihi

If you want to talk about weird censorship in the UK its legal to have sex at 16, but you can't get into strip clubs and the like until 18. ?Which surely means that for the first 2 years you're legally required to have sex with the lights out.

For that matter if seeing semi-naked women is illigal until you're 18 surely they should ban kids from the beach and swimming pools as well.

Its the same in some states in the US too. The bone law and looking at boobies law are not always 18. Smiley

thats what i was talking about. Its absurd if I just wasted a money buying a few of my GNR friend fans tickets. If there is a ban on this I will be VERY angry.

I highly doubt that will be the case.  This tour has been "all ages" all along; to change that now would cause a huge backlash that neither GNR, TicketMaster, nor the venues themselves would want to deal with.  Most likely is that the Suicide Girls (who do get completely naked in videos and at small, 18+ venues) will keep just enough clothing on for a PG-13 rating.

This sounds interesting, but not sure if my wife will like it.   Wink

Also, does anyone think that having naked girls on stage could cause some legal problems from local authorities?  I'm not an expert, but I bet that there are some more conservative cities that may have ordinances or restrictions on this sort of thing.  Is it possible that the tour could face more problems because of this?  Just curious.

Well, this changes plans a bit.  I'm going to the Toronto show with 14 friends, most of them dudes, and most of them celebrating my buddy's birthday.  We were planning on showing up the pre-show party at the Armadillo at 6:00 and drinkin' till 10:30 as none of us had any interest in seeing Baz and whatever band is openning.  As I said, we might change things up now Smiley

Tell me you wouldn't want backstage passes now!

I wonder how many of these girls are planning on taking a run at a bandmember (or vice versa) Wink

Cheers,

Andrew

This is disturbing  confused Those sluts just don't fit in!

I'd rather have Gay For Johnny Depp as opening act instead.

Yeah, sure, because when a nanosecond shot of whatshername's nipple flashed at the Superbowl half-time show, America totally took in stride. No biggie.

Let's face it: America fears nipples. A bush would start a fricken civil war! (No, not that Bush; he already has).

Anyway, best o' luck to axl2 et al. Maybe you should unite and lobby congress - I hear it just got friendlier.
