My Iron Maiden book got a 10 out of 10 review in the new issue of Metal Hammer, which for all my moaning is very nice. The issue has Tenacious D in it - so does every magazine I've seen lately. Fuck, I hate them. I mean, two actors pretending to be rock icons. I make fun of what I do and the absurdities in the world I work in, but those two are really scraping the bottom of the barrel.

That's the kind of silly statement you'd make if
1) you'd never seen Tenacious D play, and
2) you'd never seen Kyle Gass act. 

Surely the D are one actor and one "featured extra" pretending to be two losers who think they're destined to become rock icons.

I hope Ross paid more attention to detail in the Iron Maiden book. I'm assuming it's a book he wrote a couple of decades ago when the subject was still relevant.

Alternatively, people could just buy The Complete Masterworks and have not only those few tracks but the short films, album/tour documentaries and a full live show. On dvd. Tough choice.
