Best Buy says end of Nov. or 1st wk of Dec.

I called my local Best Buy about 20mins ago and asked if the had a release date yet for GN'R.? The guy on the phone said they don't have an official date yet but Best Buy was told by GN'Rs record company that it would be end of Nov. (28th) or 1st week of Dec.? Others should call their local Best Buy and see what they say.

I called the new Best Buy in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada and they said that they don't have a release date for a new Guns N' Roses CD.

On the phone now with Best Buy and the guy has nothing on the computer in front of him. Although he is a guns fan and curious, so said he "would look into it more", which is pretty nice of him. So I'm on hold............

Came back and said "That Democracy CD, is that what you are talking about?" I said yes, and he said that they didn't have any info on it, but he was excited about it maybe coming out one day, and............... If I heard anything about the release, to call him at Best Buy and let him know.  (yea seriously)

Real nice guy, talked to him for a few minutes, and he was a guns fan...................but zilch.

I should also note that about 3 years ago there were a couple of stores who had it listed with a release date. I called and confirmed..............and then nothing.

I'm always checking towerrecords website and I've never seen any mention of it.. I'd call my Best Buy and ask them (Phx), but a) I'm at work, and b) like most of us, I'm of the opinion that we'll 'see it when we see it'..

Even if we *confirm* a release, it's not going to make it show up that much faster..

I wasn't rude, as I was impressed on her coaching.  I was on hold while she checked on it, she was clueless at first....then she got back on the phone with this diatribe..and you could hear her manager in the background telling her what to say. ....I disagreed with her, then she brought up the, well Axl owns the name, but its still not GNR.  I didn't flame her, just said Axl is GNR, like Trent Reznor is NIN...it was a pleasant back and forth.  I also called several other stores for fun that day, and almost every person I talked to started laughing when I asked about it, I get a kick out if.  One guy even went so far as to say..."Wow, its actually coming out?".

I called 2 Best Buy stores and they did not have anything in their computer. 

But what was interesting was that neither of the people I spoke to seemed to know what Chinese Democracy was?  The first one asked me "is it a CD or a movie".  And I live in a large city, so much for no promotion.
