I had the good fortune to score a great Upper level seat today to Barbara Streisand's concert at the United Center. When we all entered the venue they had metal detectors at her request. I thought that was kind of strange. I have never seen that at any other show. When the concert was over, the metal detectors were gone.

I've had to go through metal detectors at hockey games and at an Aerosmith concert. Not too surprised about it at Streisand, she's gotta be fearing shit with the way her anti-Bush stuff has gone over with crowds so far.

Because she is an ICON and I wanted to hear her sing Evergreen. She kind of ruined that song by singing with these 4 European guys in different languages. I was very upset that she did that to that song. She had a teleprompter that even had her personal stories and introductions written out. I had an amazing seat for $100, people on the floor paid $750. That's why i couldn't get over the metal detectors. how scarey can rich white people be? I even saw Oprah Winfrey in the front row. |
