I know I agree.  They've played half of the album so far.. I honestly don't want to hear any new songs!  Not until it drops anyway.

My thought is that the new songs on the alt. setlist are there for when (if) the album is released during the tour.  Then they can add a couple more new songs to the set.

When they finally start after CD is released get ready for some interesting sets, because I have a good feeling that a lot of the classic Appetite songs (like Rocket Queen, Out Ta Get Me) won't be heard very often.

Real tour?  What is this...the fake tour?

Most bands who have 6 albums to pull material from only play 5 or 6 new songs.  Also GNR's songs are anywhere from 5 -11 minutes long a piece.  Would be a totally different story if they had a bunch of 3-minute pop songs.

I think what he ment acompleteunknown is that this is somewhat of a warmup tour for the diehards.

The next tour will be the definitive tour and much bigger than this one.

ok, after the europe tour ended, and no "unheard" songs were played, I was jelous at the USA people, because I tought they'd get the new songs,
and I so much wanted to hear CITR live Cry
but looking at it from this angle, I kinda see, that a big part of the usa will not get any better deal than I got.
sure, they'll get the CD before the tour ends, and maybe 2-3 new songs, but big part of the USA will get nothing more than we did.

that brings me to my point.
Band will probably be back in europe/usa before end of next summer to capitalize on the release of the album.
If the spain thing is real, I guess, winter will be the time for asia, australia, south america, and spring back for Europe.
And I guess the real "chinese democracy" tour will start in 2007, when more than 300 of us will be familiar with Chinese Democracy.

 peace

edit: though is not tought - spelling error.

Too bad CITR isn't on the option list of songs to play.

Well it's not too bad IMO, CITR is the worst song out of the 7 main new ones (CD, Mada, Better, IRS, Blues, TWAT and CITR), but I guess any new song played would be nice.
