Just seen for the first time ever a HUGE promo on GNR touring Canada, this promo is nationwide and lists all dates and shows some recent footage of some GNR concerts recently, looks like theyre going all out as  the promo lasted a good 3-5 minutes.

it showed european tour footage, all the dates, venues etc. and was dubbed as the "CHINESE DEMOCRACY WORLD TOUR" i seen it on TSN.

You gotta wonder about the thinking sometimes... most of the Canadian shows are selling great. Halifax sold out, Calgary basically sold out, the rest going strong (only Quebec and St. Johns I'm not sure on) meanwhile in the US... no big promotion that I know of...

SAINT JOHN? ? tickets are selling well. They were close to gone within the first 3 days of sales.

ill keep a lookout on tsn now, but so far ive seen/heard no GNR promotion anywhere, except for talk on the radio sometimes and the ticketmaster website

I saw this as well on TSN...but I would say it lasted in the range of 30-45 seconds like a regular commercial...I'm not sure where you're getting 3-5 minutes from.

And it was very cool...recent concert footage, and it ran off all the dates across the country along a bar down the side of the screen...

for the record i watch TSN (sports chanel for the non famaliar) every morning & night and have never seen a GnR mention.

I'm not sure there are meetups planned.  there are threads for both edm and cgy in the "on tour" section, we should discuss meetups there.

It was on sometime around 5pm(CST - I'm in SASK) ...I work in sports at CTV so we generally have TSN on in the office...believe me, it aired...and it was before MNF and very much an ad for the Canadian leg of the tour only...
