people are gonna totally rip me for this but.....   i thought that baz totally overshadowed axl during my michele.. i'm by no means an axl basher.. i thought he was awsome.. put on a hell of a show.. looked good.. souned the best i have ever heard him.. but  baz just took over..  velvet revolver were so close to creating the greatest band of all time.. if only they choose bas over weiland.. are there any demos of bas trying out with them?  that would be a gem

It would be cool if Skid Row would reunite and go on tour with Guns.... or it might make the whole thing seem like a cheesy 80's throwback.

Anyways, I just ripped some Skid Row albums to my iPod after all this Baz talk.

that would be an unreal tour...  i think skid row gets thrown into the hair band category.. and i'm sure youre right that the media would lable it a 80's throw back tour.. but skid row are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than any hair band.. they sound much more like gnr than they sound like poison..

i love old skid row probably as much as i love GNR. IMO, Skid Row was the only band even near the level of quality of GNR, they have the same attitudes, and wrote kick ass songs, and they were just the real deal, not trying to be anything.
So much talent in that band too.
it's really a shame they get lumped into the 'hairmetal' label, their later albums were pretty much like full out thrash metal. Kick ass band. Slave to the grind and subhuman race are some of my favorite albums.

Skid Row only ever had one hair metal album, their debut.

All their others aren't even close, Slave To The Grind is a hard rock effect with balls and some amazing rock ballads done as they should be i.e. Quicksand JesusSubhuman Race was a full on metal effort, a very underated album, i really enjoy that, i won't mention the most recent release, since although it's good it's Bachless.....

They also had 2 great EPs....A live one and their B-Sides one where they cover Hendrix, KISS, Ramones & also sing live with Rob Halford!

You shouldn't like someone/thing just because Axl does.

As for Sebastian Bach the only song of his I've ever heard was a skidrow song (when he was with them) called "18 and Life" which I seen on TV. It's a great song, remembers me of "Out Ta Get Me" if I had to compare it to anythink.

Yeah Slave to the Gring was the first metal album to debut at #1.

Bach is a great singer, but a weak writer, it was mostly Sabo...

His voice, would of smoked Weiland's voice.

i would have rather had an album with bach on it that sold 10 copies.. than the platnum album with weiland.. look at buckcherry.. their last album was released on an indi lable.. but its climbing the charts.. the music speaks for its self.. i think if they picked bach they could have been just as good as gnr..

The band wouldn't let him write any lyrics. Tongue
