The guitar solos were out of sync with the video.

Is this the actual video or is it fan made? If it's official what did they spend on it, like  $110.00?

SEBASTIAN BACH
Angel Down
CD
[ Caroline Records/EMI ]

Stars 8

Man, it's been ages since we last heard from Sebastian Bach, not counting his low-budget DVD that was released a few years back. I thought Bach was destined for G'n'R infamy...you know, the state of limbo where it looks like his active career was a nostalgic standout from yesteryear. Speaking of G'n'R, Axl Rose makes an appearance on three songs here! And lemme tell ya, Axl and Bach kick some serious ass in tandem!

Bach is still a killer vocalist after all these years, proving his worth in dazzling style on Angel Down. The songwriting here is pretty damn good too, with the exception of a few mid-card numbers that are paint-by-numbers moreso than bland. There's really nothing on Angel Down which is poor or shitty. The Aerosmith cover of Back in the Saddle rocks something fierce, complete with Axl and Bach trading ripping vox. Single track (Love is) A Bitchslap doesn't represent the cream of the crop on this album. American Metalhead is a solid cut, with a steady stomp to it. Negative Light is heavy as shit but lags in the chorus department. Ballad By Your Side is like a B-grade rip-off of Skid Row's I Remember You, which tastes like trying to ride on old glories instead of standing on its own two feet. Most of the stronger stuff is placed on the first half of this album, and the partially less striking material in the latter half. Yet, as I said earlier there's nothing crappy here. Closing ballad Falling Into You is a fine piece, and a fitting end to Angel Down overall.

Even though the second half of this album is considerably less titillating than the first half, the overall vibe throughout is strong, and thus, Angel Down gets a strong grading. The production values are also top-notch, assisting in a thumbs up for Sebastian Bach in 2008.

Best songs: Pat Douglas picks his favorite 19 rock songs of 2007

10. ? "(Love) Is a Bitchslap" Sebastian Bach "Angel Down" This is the best track from one of the most unexpectedly good albums of the year. Backed by an exceptionally solid group of musicians, Sebastian Bach showed the rock world that he is as good as advertised 20 years ago with his former band, Skid Row. Guest vocals by Axl Rose certainly helped get the record noticed.

Comedy is tragedy plus time

Cool to see Bach coming to Finland, and especially to Tampere.

I'll propably be there if something dramatic doesn't occur..
