Im in the UK so dates maybe different here I dont know, but thats what Ive heared for the US.

Albums are released Mondays in the UK, singles the same usually (though some are released on different days, Kasabian's empire single was released on a Tuesday)

The HMV webpage now says 18th Dec, but still deleted. I think they must be just guessing.

If he just said 2 releases there's no reason why one could'nt be a single and the other an album, unless he said anything more that implied it was 2 albums...?
