Brave Words and Bloody Knuckles is a great mag? - they are usually in the ballpark on all their rumours.? There are tons of insiders around these guys in Canada and Internationally.? Hopefully they are right, but if they are not - I will continue to sing the praises of this integrity-based mag.

o the horror!! we'll see, im just sick of seeing all these release date rumors from blabbermouth.com etc. that amount to absolutely nothing and get some people excited.  the only really credible source we've ever gotten a release date from is rolling stone but we cant talk about that. and as that date approaches its getting less and less likely as well.

No, they probably assume that if the record is released Nov 21st or anytime soon, all sites will have it, so they are just saying that. I doubt they have it, and other sites don't, but hell-who knows....

I think they have it, but that's pure speculation based on the statement they made and the reputation of the site

I doubt it.  more likely management threatened them with a lawsuit.  I wrote an email and sent it BCC to every email on the site asking why it was removed, and not a single response, which means that they've all been told not to talk about this with anyone.  someone else did send an email earlier in the day and got a response, so definately someone told them all to be quiiet

or management contacted them with a cease and desist for distributing unauthorized information. if they really are planning a surprise attack media blitz, the last thing they want is to get scooped by a semi-reputable source.

I agree. If they discovered that their information was incorrect, then a follow-up story or an edit of the original story should have been written ("RETRACTED: Guns N' Roses Chinese Democracy Release Date Leaked") explaining the circumstances under which they learned that the original article was indeed false.

But that's not what happened...

if it turns out that sites are being threatened or otherwise "encouraged" to remove these articles, then i'd suggest that this Chinese Democracy adopt a Bill of Rights... soon
