Alright guys this date has been said so many times now i really do believe this is the date this is going to come out.  One thing to keep in mind in the RS article merek when asked about the date said he wouldn't confirm it.  He didn't say it wasn't happening.

As I said in the other thread, I can't fathom how these monolithic national chains have no promo material....You'd think that shelf space and promo space for the holidays has been accounted for.

Maybe they arent focusing on the CD stores, lots of people in the industry are saying that the CD is dying or dead. If it is coming out in 2 weeks then promo is either going to be stupidly heavy at some point in the next 2 weeks so that everyone who wants to know about it will know about it via other means, TV, Radio, Internet etc. Or they wont do any promo at all and it will just show up in stores and it will be in their interest to make space on the shelves!

Does anybody know if this issue is discussed on any other musical message boards that don't "spin" around GNR in particular?
21st yes or no or maybe? Is it interresting for the average music fan at all? If so, then isn't that some kind of "heavy promotion" ?
So many different sources claim that the 7th or 21st will be the day and on the other hand is Merck who keeps denying this date..

That itself is a kind of promotion fo me because while people discuss it the news spread all over the internet. And i bet that a lot of people will take a walk to their local record dealer on november 21st no matter if we'll get an announcement or not ! Just out of curiosity.

Up to now it is like: Ok, the cd will come out some day in the near future. Anything else is not clear . It's like waiting for the monthly pay check that is heavilly delayed. You expect it any day

Ok guys no one knows for sure whats going on.. its obvious that Axl isnt saying anything for definate just yet. That makes me think hes looking at suprising us. I just wish people would stop moaning either way, its not going to make it any quicker and its not going to change anything. Axl has his own mind right?
Anyway..it is possible that it could be 21st. It might not be but what the hell!
My thoughts are that something is happening behind the scenes:

1. Portland cancelled for whatever reason, Axl wasnt in Portland and hes been getting around by plane. Maybe he had a few loose ends to tie up elsewhere..'Universal'?

2. Universal are possibly making sounds, few rumours coming from there, funny how thats soon after the cancelled gig me thinks?

3. I reckon Harley Davidson have signed up for 'Better but were meant to use PD until later in November..maybe someone there slipped up and thats why it was changed so soon after.

Id love to hear this CD as much as anyone else but guys we just have to hold on to our ride a little longer and what will be will be.. we cant change it! Im greatful that GnR have given me 2 great gigs this year and if their not selling out in the states then its the fans loss because they are fucking awesome live.. I say, buy as many tickets as you can and enjoy the show! ?

bravewords is usually VERY credible... they wouldnt put this out there without right info...

is it no coincidence that Merck shot down that date?? if it was a secret why would he deny it??? why werent the dates on HMV denied or confirmed??

There's a small thread over on the Download Festival forums in the music news section....some of the posts are positive others are stupidly negative (ie. they're pre-judging the album based on the antics of Axl)....so it's much like here

This has been my theory for a long time and I've said it many times already. The 21st is the only "release date" that someone had gone out of their way to deny and that IS THE ONLY ONE. So why would Merck say that the 21st is the wrong Tuesday but not say it for any of the countless other days we have been talking about??  If it wasn't the 21st, what would be the point in him even telling us we were wrong?? Wouldn't he want us to speculate on the wrong date until it's announced?? I'm still going with the 21st as the most likely day for release and it's also the smartest.
