Ok, about eight Tuesdays left for 2006. Can we rule out this year or is it still possible for it to be released?

Here is my opinion, which of course could be dead wrong. But I think the band really did anticipate an '06 release (as Axl said at the VMAs) but that something is holding up the release. After all, it would explain why management has tried to erase the RS tidbit and why we haven't seen the HD commercial...

As much as I had hoped for it to come out this year, I now believe this will not be the case. Hope I am proved wrong.

I think we'll see it.  I doubt they'd keep restating it if they didn't think it was coming.

I want to believe...

« Reply #3 on: November 04, 2006, 10:15:01 PM »

I never believed it was going to be 2006 even WITH the tour but perhaps I am a pessimist when it comes to the release of this album! ?
I think what made me sceptical was the fact that in March (I think) at the Korn party when Axl re-appeared and did that interview he mentioned that the recording wasn't finished and songs needed touching up. ?I knew right then in GNR time that alone is gonna take more than 8 months (especially with 'em being on the road), then you gotta take mixing and mastering into account as well as the artwork, which I bet Axl is spending A LOT of time on.

My prediction = Fall 2007... I obviously hope I am proved wrong ?yes

Fall of 2007? God I hope not. Then it will be Spring of '08 and then before you know it "Chinese Democracy: 2009"?

Maybe Axl is waiting for Clinton to take office?  hihi

It wouldn't surprise me if there was another delay but I think at this point in time that both GNR and their label want that album out by Christmas.  This way they can capitalize on the tour and added media attention.  When U2 released POP back in 1997, the band had only finished working on the album 2 weks before it ended up in stores so anything is possible.  2006- I believe!!!!!

Dude, people need to chill out.

It's annoying to see this thread once a week.

It's '06.

Agreed. I understand that a lot of people are nervous, but they have consistently said 2006 for a long time now, so let's wait until December 31st before we rule out 2006. Patience. It is difficult I know, but we just need to chill out, hang back, enjoy the live shows if you're going (which I am. NJ and MSG here I come!) and enjoy the boots if you are not!

Why are you worrying?? You're always telling me(and other people here) not to worry.

Start taking your own advice for once.

I agree with Jack. Threads like this aren't needed on a constant basis.

Why would Axl say 100 times like it's coming fall 2006, and Merck also with the tuesday's and stuff.

they are changing the setlist to the setlist we've seen from the picture. cause they included down in the farm, and are changing a lot, a 29 setlist they are working on to make longer evenings to introduce us to CD(I think)
