 Rock N Roll- **Zeppelin**

That song just seems rather fitting (on a number of levels) and I feel Axl's voice would do it justice.

Also, I realize the Rolling Stones SFTD was already covered for 'Interview with the Vampire' (amazing film) but I would really enjoy seeing/hearing that song performed live in concert... especially as part of their encore.  yes

Cheers,
W.R.

GNR has done so many cover songs, that I almost think I'd prefer them not to do anymore.  However, if they were to do another, some obscure Beatles song would be fun.

Immigrant Song- Led Zep.
Isn't that what Rhiad is? Wink

I think Axl could nail the rough vocals of "Instant Karma" by John Lennon.

Funny, I COMPLETELY agree with the other poster that suggested "House of Rising Sun."  Shows off the entire vocal range, totally rocks, pays homage to a legit band, and would fit theme of the show, etc.   Man, he'd kill it...

Immigrant Song is a great call...

pretty much anything from Zeppelin would be stellar...Fool in the Rain, In The Evening, Tangerine, Since I've Been Loving You...

Aeorsmith's Dream On...

And this is a totally random call but I would to hear him do something completely offguard like a Linkin Park song "In The End" or "Numb"...maybe a Jeff Buckley song..."Dream Brother"...

Also, anything by Soundgarden would be pretty sweet..."Searching with my Good Eye Closed..."

Although I am slightly partial to 'Numb', GN'R shouldn't be covering ANYTHING by Linkin Park.

« Reply #35 on: November 05, 2006, 09:39:34 AM »

Lots of Led Zep ....yeah I always wanted to hear Axl sing "Going to Califonia"

Imagine Axl screaming:

Seems that the wrath of the Gods
Got a punch on the nose and it started to flow;
I think I might be sinking.
Throw me a line if I reach it in time
I'll meet you up there where the path
Runs straight and high.

That would fucki totally rule...

Lightning Crashes - Live

Imagine Axl going:
"I can feel it, coming back again
like a rolling thunder chasing the wind
forces pulling from the center of the Earth again
I can feel it.."
