obviously the version of KOHD is different.. but it think the version of night train is awsome.. its even heavier than the original.. the extended shredding is pretty cool..  the blues has changed quite a bit since 02 too.. the two songs that i am the most interested in hearing what the band does with are Nice boys and Rhiad.. both songs were good.. but Rhiad seemed unfinished.. and Niceboys sounds a bit dated..

Chinese democracy has changed as well.

Good thread! During the European tour, they changed IRS by adding a 2nd guitar break during the song.  The "leaked" version had only the single guitar break.  So now the question is....when final version of IRS comes out, will it contain both guitar breaks?  This is probably one of the "final touches" that had to be remixed a few weeks ago.

Most of the old songs are still the same, except for the revamped KOHD, which first appeared in 2001-2002, is still being played.

Chinese Democracy.....
I don't really like that new part of the solo....... if you remember in Rio for example, was only the Robin's solo, and that was ok for me...... then, with BH, they add that second part......... i hope in the album just Robin's

the intro to chinese democracy is the most noticable to me.

Not that it has changed a lot, but Nightrain is really so much better now than it was previous. The new band makes the classic AFD stuff sound so much heavier and more up to date (sacrelige I know)

Yes but it was in place of the buckethead version of the 99 version, so its nothing new, but I like it.  Better than the other solo he does.

i think the 06 kohd is closer to the one they that they played in the early 90's...  the 02 version was much slower... closer to the original version...

yeah, the 01-02 one were closer to the dylan original and the 06 one is closer to the UYI version... in rock in rio III axl said before they played KOHD "i thought that this is a new band, and this next songs is a timeless song, we would move a little closer to the original, and do our own version, of a song by bob dylan"

Hmmmmm when was the last time Niceboys was played live?? Did I miss something, I thought they hadn't played that since like 1986!?!

Also someone mentioned a demo of Chinese Democracy, only live versions of that song exist to my knowledge.

The intro on TWAT is different from the leaked version too.

Also they added a piano arrangement on Think About You.
