And like i have stated ALOT, if the album is good, then it will sell and it will make gnr huge again.
ITs that simple.

No it's not. People don't just buy good albums. Look at NIN's "The Fragile". Excellent reviews, but did people buy it?

It takes more than a great album to sell it. Promotion, promotion, promotion etc etc...

And lots of respect to the fans.

Organising some fan-clubs would be a smart move...

Finishing a tour might help too.  [hihi]

I'd like to see GN'R on Letterman and maybe have Dave interview Axl.....

Donuts don't have souls, therefore, YOU can't be a ghost. So no, I can't see you.

Good point. And there is a lot of really bad crap that is selling multi platinum because of promotion and marketing. I think people will know a good album when they see it, but lets face it, if it isn`t prompted right , not a lot a people will be aware of it. However, this is the trend, not the rule. In rare circumstances things have taken off by word of mouth.

I think that if the album is good it will sell extremly well, even if Axl dosn't go flat out with prommotion...

The reason being MTV.

They are still very interested in GNR and what is happening with them. They make frequent reports even when GNR don't seem to do much.

Axl's best chance of getting in the spotlight, in my opinion, would be a Loader interview  [ok]
It would also, probably, be the interview Axl would be most willing to do.

Him and Loader seem to have a certain respect for each other.

No, they're not dead. Look for the Richard Fortus info where he says the band is starting back up again in May.

If Axl was smart. HE would put out a vid then after the vid air the MSG show on MTV.
That would show people what the band is all about.
But  i think interscope will push this album big time and have promotion out the ying yang.

That's a great idea.  Lettermen, Leno et. al.  Get the new band in front of as many people as possible.  Go on freaking TRL for God'd sake.

I'm sure the label and management would be up for this type of media blitz but would the singer be?

I think interscope will definatly put alot into promotion.they have to really, this album(and the future ones of course) have cost interscope an estimated over $8 million in recording.Im sure they could put a bit more money in to make sure they recoup it back in sales.I think they will definatly make it back in sales between the three(hopefully CD will do it itself) but if they dont then there could be a bit of bother about it.Axl may not be too much interested in sales, concentrating on quality etc but you know what the label is interested in.

AGAIN is finishing up the THIRD album.
HE and the band have beenworking on 3 albums.
And like i have stated ALOT, if the album is good, then it will sell and it will make gnr huge again.
ITs that simple.

Actually I never considered that possibility (I dont think many ppl on this board have). Because I remember hearing three albums in like the yrs following Chinese Democracy, so maybe the band has been working on 3 albums all this time, this way they could release 'em one after the other, instead of wating another 10 yrs after chinese democracy is released. Cause after all theres a trend going on where albums are being pumped out faster, suprisingly. SO I think Axl wants bomboard fans with GnR's new shit.

Which is fucking great, cause it will show that all the patience of GnR's fans has really paid off  peace
