There is a certain programme airing tonight that will be shown to 1.2billion people worldwide. (Mtv Europe Awards) that would make a great place to announce a release date     ok

They are playing a show tonight. There could of course be a video message. But for those who know Axl, it's just seems incredibly unlikely.

The show is in Denmark, it doesnt mean that there can't be a pre-recorded message!

1.2 billion? With a B?  That seems like an awful lot of people to watch a TV show.  that's like a sixth of the population of the world.  Perhaps the show has the potential to air to that number of people, but surely that many will not watch it.

Ok, sorry. My enthusiasm got the better of me. 1.2Billion people relate to those homes that can access the show be it via cable, sat,  etc..

Either way, there will be Millions tuning in, who knows maybe 100million people will watch the show live. Still a pretty good audience.

Yes, but I doubt they're the kind of audience that cares for rock n' roll Tongue

Yeah, the NFL decided to have the Superbowl early this year, and it will be held at the Mtv Europe Awards. rofl

Not to show disrespect to any other country, but I think its obvious that either the world will get a release date at the exact same time via a press release, or the US will get it first..Axl certainly wouldn't give Denmark a release date before any other country.

DOnt mean to sound like a doomsdayer but im 100% sure that this will not happen. ALthough an orportunity it would be, just because so many people would be watching. I wont list the downsides.

It wouldn't be worldwide since most Americans don't get any European programming..

Why would Axl leave out the band's home country WHERE THEY ARE TOURING NOW in order to please Denmark? Its not possible, and its not going to happen.

Again - no disrespect. I'm sure over there, the European VMAs are huge, but its like robbing Peter to pay Paul - someone would miss out on this news if it happened, and it makes no sense to not make the announcement to the US first. Just my opinion.
