I agree with everyone on this board to just accept it and party on! But, has anyone read reviews or seen the news from the European dates? There was an article about Axl biting a security guard in the leg - early in the morning - you know he was fucked up! And one article about Sebastian Bach having to do the whole show for him cause he was too wasted to go on stage. He might have quit drugging so hard (maybe) but he still boozes and probably smokes weed. I'm sure he's going out every night after the shows or at least partying, sleeping late, does his shit, then starts partying again and goes on when he gets the right mixture of the buzz and momentum.

Tommy stinson is from the replacements? If so, they were huge partiers, hell I was at the concert they broke up at. It took them a long ass time to get on the stage too cause they were liquered up and fighting. Not saying this is the case but most rockers party balls to the walls. I'm betting on the party factor. Guns were so wild back in the day, I can't imagine some of the old behavior hasn't surfaced.

He's like a friend man - I don't agree with everything they do but I love em and gonna stick by them no matter what! Axl would not be Axl and people would not love him without his bad ass attitude. Society is so politically correct these days, it's awesome to see someone defy the odds and go against the mainstream because that's how so many of us feel. Personally, he is an extension of what I wish I could do.

He starts show late to determine, whether or not you are worthy of his presence, if you freak out and riot you or not worthy, or if you remain calm and are thankful that he will turn up at all then you deserve to be there.

Remember the story about the band being late to sign with Geffin, cause Axl couldn't find his contacts?  Vicki Hamilton found them in a pair of jeans he had previously worn a couple of days before, but when she had located them for him he himself couldn't be found, and when he was he was sitting on the roof of the Whiskey.
