I think that they will make the promotion of CD a blitz. ?Announce the release date a day or 2 before the actual release, hype it EVERYWHERE during those few days. ?So that the name GNR and Chinese Democracy is on everyones ears, minds and lips the day of the release.

Well, it's technically not just one station.  It's an entire satallite radio company.

There are 9 tues left in the year but only FOUR are really viable and would make sense if it was coming out this year and it would be 5 if you could this coming tue if they just release it out of the blue.

I really hate being one of these people. ?I really do. ?However, IF Chinese Democracy is really coming out this year, then it would most definately be this month...more specifically either the 7th, 14th, or 21st. ?The biggest X-Mas shopping dy of the year is the day after Thanksgiving, which is November 24th. ?I would lean more towards the 7th (NEXT WEEK!). ?That gives the stores plenty of time to display the CD on end-caps (I'm thinking with the Best Buy/Circuit City store models here) and re-order new copies of the CD (if the original shipments sell out from people who buy it on the release week) before "Black Friday".



Again...I relly hate to be one of these people, especially since my contention this whole time has been that CD will NEVER be released, but Christ. ?This is really starting to make sense to me. ?For the first time ever.

It would definately set the music world on fire if one of the most anticipated releases of all time were to come out without warning. 

Loads of people will haul-ass to their music stores to get it.  I think this could be right up Axls alley.

pretty much--but in a way that might be the point....the fact you suddenly release it becomes so surprising it generates its own promotion--if that makes any sense
