i wasn't complaining!

« Reply #21 on: October 30, 2006, 09:33:52 PM »

they will. if axl hadn't planned to he probably will now after seeing the idea on here(!)

but i actually wouldnt be surprised. we should start a pool on it - though the obvious danger is that we'd never be able to settle the bet as the album wont get released to check.

I was just sitting here thinking about Axl's comments about the guy in Ireland sitting behind a computer, and I began wondering what percentage of each concert is familiar with HTGTH and other GNR boards.? CD will be the first 'real' album GNR has released since the age of the internet, and i'm sure they're aware of the exposure HTGTH has helped to give them.? I wonder if there will be a thank you or a shout out to HTGTH or Jarmo in the liner notes of CD.? GNR could really use that to capitalize on promotion.? what do y'all think??

I think "y'all" is  ignorant.

Why would CD waste a line of space in their linear notes?

It's valuable space and shouldn't be wasted for foolishness.

I'm just sayin'... GAWSH!!!

I read the linear notes to "Live Era" & they spelled Pitman's name wrong.

I wouldn't be shocked. Its obvious "they" read the board and there seems to be some kind of connection in some compacity. And Jarmo does work hard on this site ...

I'd bet all the money I could scamble up that not only willl HTGTH be mentioned by name.... but some long term members will be mentioned too.  I'd love to get mentioned by my handle, if anything... which isn't even that much of a long shot when you think about it.

Who knows what Axl will do, but I think that Jarmo defintely deserves a shout out. I mean almost all of the gnr sites on the internet are crap and have not been updated since around 2000. This site in many ways functioned as an unofficial-offical site for the band for many years and still does to some degree despite the existance of gunsnroses.com. If it had not been for this site, I'm sure a lot of people who have become gnr fans over the past few years would not be as big of gnr fans as they are and many of us who are die hard fans from way back would have given up long ago.

Ahh what the hell. Give Jarmo some props. Great site. Bastian from all the negativity out there.
