How is it not official? Did you go to the site? They've done CD design for major releases:

Explain to me how its fake....

Click the fucking link.

They've designed Motley's "Red, White and Crue", Audioslave's new cd, and numerous others. I guess all of those are fake too?

If it was re-recorded, there wouldn't be a pic of the AFD lineup...

It's not fake.

This company designed the cover for Motley Crue's Red, White & Blue.

Apparently, at some point, they were hired to do this for GN'R.

My guess? Geffen threatened Axl again that they would release a Best-Of if he didn't get the ball rolling with CD. It's weird how it was listed on Amazon and there was a guy who had contact with Slash and used to know Axl (?) blogging about it, and then all that disappeared suddenly.

Whether or not it's coming out in the future, this was, at one time, an actual project.

That's because whoever designed those commercials is a moron. This was/is a legitimate Universal release. They wouldn't/couldn't do something like that.

I didn't buy GH, but this one might be worthy of purchase if it has "Sympathy For The Devil" on it. That was the only reason to buy GH in the first place since it was such a horrible collection of their best songs. A real "best of" for GN'R would have to include at least 9 of the 12 songs from Appetite, and then "Coma" and "Estranged" from UYI at the very least (out of songs from UYI that were ignored for GH).

They would never release re-recorded stuff.

And do you think Axl would bother re-recording Black Leather and Down on the Farm?  Roll Eyes

This proves that the conceptual artwork for the band's newer logo that surfaced prior to the European tour had been created months prior, since this album was available on Amazon in December '05 for a period of time.

The question is: was this logo invented for the Best of, and then used for the new band when they went on tour because it was already available (after this project had been scrapped)?

OR did they invent the logo KNOWING the band was going to re-surface for a tour?

And if this is the case, why the hell did they cancel the album last-minute? It was on many sites for pre-order.
