That's the problem though, those songs may be GNR standards, but this new band has everything to prove - And they simply can't do that leaning on too many of the old band's songs like last time.

They should cut You Could Be Mine and Think About You.

Songs like Jungle,November Rain,Paradise City are classic Axl tunes that I don't think should be cut. I think they also need to play Better and IRS smoking

Any song that will make way for a new song really.

Except for the hits, you pretty much need them.

I'd like the setlist to start off with fast-paced rockers (WTTJ, ISE) then move into slower rockers/ballads (SCOM, Better) and into balladry (Don't Cry, Patience, NR) then move into epics (TWAT, Estranged) then move into rockers again to finish the show (Paradise City and the likes).

I really wish there was more instability...more of a mix up...where each show is different...of course incl' the standards (WTJ, PS, SCOM, NR, YCBM)...but change it up!  Do any "high profile touring machines" still do that?  Or is everything just so, so that the lights are in sync' w/ the songs?Huh  Shesh.

They should cut most of Appetite from the setlist... just leave SCOM, PC and WTTJ

From Lies, just Patience
UYI's : NR and YCBM are the only they played on tour other then the covers.
That's 6 songs that are a MUST at any GNR show.

Alot of people want more appetite songs played but I disagree.  I'd much rather hear some 'obscure' UYI stuff like estranged, coma, locomotive, civil war, breakdown, 14 years, dust n bones, don't cry or pretty tied up (not all of them but trade a few up every show).  At least for the NY shows since they're going to get the diehard fanbase, they should play the fan favorites that weren't hits.

Other then that, I really want to hear the new songs, but I'm really afraid that they're going to play different versions of the leaks that we won't know.  It'll be really wierd hearing songs that we thought we knew and they end up different.

I just saw the Black Crowes at the Hard Rock in Orlando in January, they didn't go more than 2 songs without huddling up to decide on what to play next. Bruce Springsteen never plays the same setlist from night to night, historically you get the more obscure tunes on the last night if he plays more than one date in a city. Dave Matthews is the same way.

It appears to be consistent with "Jam Bands" Pearl Jam is at that point also.

You don't want any new songs added? I would love for him to unveil something new those nights.

I like the idea of a block of new songs in a row. Perhaps axl could do this, and give a good backstory on each new song, as to what its about, when he wrote and why.

If I got to handpick the setlist for the show I'm going to (May 12), it would go like this:

Chinese Democracy
You Could Be Mine
Mr. Brownstone
Live And Let Die
Nightrain
There Was A Time
Welcome To The Jungle
Used To Love Her
The Garden
Sweet Child O' Mine
The Blues
Civil War
You're Crazy (Acoustic)
Catcher In The Rye
Breakdown
November Rain
Bad Apples
Oh My God
It's So Easy
Yesterdays
Coma
Rocket Queen

Encore One:

Patience
Estranged
Don't Cry (Alternate Lyrics)

Encore Two:

Pretty Tied Up (dedicated to VR)
Locomotive
Better
Paradise City

Yes.....I KNOW it'll never happen.....thats why it's called a wishlist.
