I don't care what they play as long as they play Catcher In The Rye, Oh My God, Madagascar, and Out Ta Get Me.

what songs do you think should make up the setlist ??

There's so many great songs. It's hard to narrow it down.

Not sure what order to put these in:

Better
Nightrain
You Could Be Mine
Madagascar
It's So Easy
Used To Love Her
Oh My God
I.R.S.
Patience
TWAT
Breakdown
The Blues
Catcher in the Rye
Don't Cry
Rocket Queen
Out Ta Get Me
Paradise City

I think GNR should open with "Better"

Lights go out the crowd is buzzing all of a sudden u hear
In a loop:
"no one ever told me when i was alone"
"no one ever told me when i was alone"
"no one ever told me when i was alone"

SILENCE

they just thought I knew Better....... Better

ALL OF A SUDDEN HUGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE PYRO

The song kicks in

The hardest part this troubled heart has ever yet been through now.........

rest of the setlist is optional but i think this opening would kick the WTTJ VMA openings ass.

I like that idea too. Exclude huge pyro. Replace it with something less dangerous.? Smiley

Would gummy bears do.

I think "Better" should be done early in the set.. maybe even the opener....

or if not it should be near the very end.

I totally agree, having Better appear early in the set would be excellent, and I could see it as an opener on some nights. And despite my love of those opening notes to Jungle, it does seem to take its toll on Axl's voice, so switching it up on certain nights might not be a bad idea.

damn dude not many ppl want to hear a lot of the new songs.

? JB9988, I see you're new here. ? hihi ? Umm, yes, I think people want to hear new music like you wouldn't believe!

? I'm going to go out on a limb and say we're going to hear at least 1 new song...that's not a leaked demo song...just my guess. ?I'm thinking Maddy, The Blues, and CD are automatics. ?I hope to hell we'll hear IRS and Better. ?I don't think we'll hear There Was a Time love and Catcher love live just yet. ?No matter what, we're in for a great time!!!

PS, sorry Z, I'd be disappointed without YCBM. ?I like the new band's version better than the old. ?This is true of LALD as well. ? yes

If I hear the entire Appetite album again Im gonna scream.

Its a great album but Id rather watch Paint dry than hear every single song but 2 from that album again.

WTTJ,PC,SCOM,RQ,Nightrain,Brownstone thats enough from that record.

Since VR did it i dont wanna hear Its So easy anymore either.

Its So Easy is one of my faves so I hope they keep playing that.

I like your opening idea above D.

I have feeling you are likely to see around 4 to 6 new songs, so not giving much away too soon.

They should practice every song GNR has ever put out. Or most at least... And change the setlist up a bit every night. Why they need to play the same set every night is beyond my understanding. Pearl Jam have such a loyal following because of the bootleg value of live shows. Every one is different. GNR should do the same.

Yeah, well Axl has got to slowly fade out a lot of the songs he didn't write lyrically.. as he is the only remaining piece from the original band. I think he should try to do mostly Axl written songs from the Illusions.. with some Appetite classics blended in.

I hope we get at least 8 C.D tracks played.

Yeah he should definitely have just as many or more new songs than old to perform now. Plus mix the old ones up. I miss songs like Estranged, Don't Cry, Civil War.......Basically the great old tunes he left out in 2002. I'd be very happy if each of the four Hammerstein gigs had a different setlist.

O.k. seriously heres' the old songs I'd like to hear and think there's an actual chance of hearing:

Jungle
Anything Goes
It's So easy
Nightrain

Dead horse
Live and Let Die

You Could be mine
KOHD
Civil War

I'm in the huge minority here but I've never really liked slow Gn'R songs(Patience, Don't Cry, November rain, Estranged) live. they just don't work for me.

You know personally after seeing Motley Crue who use pyro and seeing U2 and NIN who don't, I honestly think you can have a better effect with proper lighting than you can with big explosions. leave the loud explosions to the music and with a wicked light show you can have the same effect and in my opinion an even better effect. just my opinion.

Bono I totally agree with your opinion on the pyrotechnics issue.? ?

Over production of explosions and even lights can be obnoxious. The music is awesome enough to stand on its own. It doesn't have to hide behind explosions.

Would gummy bears do.

Possibly. Maybe dollar bills would be better.
