My picks for the setlist:

Welcome to the Jungle
Rocket Queen
Better
NEW SONG
NEW SONG
Knockin' On Heaven's Door
Yesterdays
Catcher in the Rye
NEW SONG
NEW SONG
Think About You
Sweet Child O' Mine
NEW SONG
The Blues
Paradise City

If we absolutely had to have another AFD track in there, I'd throw in Mr. Brownstone. So that's a total of 8 new songs, 5 if we discount the ones we've heard.

Maybe all this good news over the last two months or so has got me too optimistic but I am going to go with the assumption that CD will be released sometime during the European Tour or shortly thereafter. With this in mind I am hoping that over the course of the 4 nights in NYC the setlist will have some significant changes from night to night, and anyone who gets to go to all 4 shows will get to hear the entire CD, as this will be one of the few chances they will have for "Live Rehearsals"

I don't really think they should play any others besides the leaks except the new single so it will keep the album as fresh as possible.

Chinese Democracy from beginning to end. I'm sure plenty of you disagree, but I want one night of just the new album and whatever other new material GNR has accumulated.

Agreed, but start off with WTTJ just to remind us of the good times.  smoking

Seeing as Axl loves Roger Waters, he could do something ala Pink Floyd. On their 70s tours they would open with the new album (or unreleased stuff they were working on) then they'd take a break and do the last album, then break and do encores of favorites.

Obviously thats not a total option, but Axl could choose to do something along those lines.

Personally I think he should play my set.  Wink

I think GNR should open with "Better"

Lights go out the crowd is buzzing all of a sudden u hear
In a loop:
"no one ever told me when i was alone"
"no one ever told me when i was alone"
"no one ever told me when i was alone"

SILENCE

they just thought I knew Better....... Better

ALL OF A SUDDEN HUGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE PYRO

The song kicks in

The hardest part this troubled heart has ever yet been through now.........

rest of the setlist is optional but i think this opening would kick the WTTJ VMA openings ass.

I agree with that two, but I love that song *so much* that I really hope they save it for late in the show.

I think "Better" should be done early in the set.. maybe even the opener....

or if not it should be near the very end.

They should practice every song GNR has ever put out. Or most at least... And change the setlist up a bit every night. Why they need to play the same set every night is beyond my understanding. Pearl Jam have such a loyal following because of the bootleg value of live shows. Every one is different. GNR should do the same.

Yeah, well Axl has got to slowly fade out a lot of the songs he didn't write lyrically.. as he is the only remaining piece from the original band. I think he should try to do mostly Axl written songs from the Illusions.. with some Appetite classics blended in.

I hope we get at least 8 C.D tracks played.

what songs do you think should make up the setlist ??

There's so many great songs. It's hard to narrow it down.

Not sure what order to put these in:

Better
Nightrain
You Could Be Mine
Madagascar
It's So Easy
Used To Love Her
Oh My God
I.R.S.
Patience
TWAT
Breakdown
The Blues
Catcher in the Rye
Don't Cry
Rocket Queen
Out Ta Get Me
Paradise City

I think GNR should open with "Better"

I like that idea too. Exclude huge pyro. Replace it with something less dangerous.  Smiley
