First of all, they've been saying that it's going to come out this year for several months now.? Axl went on Trunk's show and said "Late Fall" and Mark has been saying that it'll be out this year, and press releases have said this year.

Second, when GNR was touring in 1990 and 91, they were playing the stuff that was going to be on the UYI albums.? They switched up the set lists pretty much every night.? Right now, we're getting basically the same songs every show and they're only playing a couple of songs off the new album.?

Some people have argued that they can't play the new stuff cause then it would get all over the internet.? That's fucking bullshit!? How many people do you know that are casual fans that have downloaded any of the band's live stuff?? The only people they're screwing over are the hardcore fans that will (a) listen to the new songs and encourage concert goers to get into the new songs cause some people know them and (b) will definetly buy the new album when it comes out so there's no money loss.? And besides that , Axl's belief that Appetite is the only 'real' GNR album is screwing over any fan that wants to hear UYI songs.? I'm sorry but 2 covers , YCBM, and November Rain don't properly represent the UYI catalog of like 30 songs.? I'm really getting sick of hearing Appetite's 2nd rate (not that they're bad, they just aren't the best) songs like It's So Easy, Mr Brownstone, My Michelle, Think About You, Out Ta Get Me.? They should rotate at least those 3 (plus the 2 covers) [Don't read eliminate, read rotate] with new songs and with some UYI stuff like Civil War, Estranged, Yesterdays, or any non-singles that were also good (I'd love to see Locomotive or Coma but that's just fantasy).

So you're calling this a cover band then?? Why are you even on a Guns N' Roses message board then?? Plus you're calling It's So Easy and Brownstone 2ND RATE APPETITE SONGS? Think About You is 2ND RATE? Did you start listening to GN'R yesterday or what? And I can't believe you think Axl is screwing over any fan that wants to hear UYI songs, that's ridiculous. Axl doesn't make the fucking setlist for you bud or anyone else. He isn't screwing anyone over. If you are so fragile and feel screwed over by not hearing any Illusion songs, then DON'T GO TO THE FUCKING SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!? He isn't making you go. If all you can do is bitch and call this a cover band, then stop listening to this band. Don't worry about what they do.

Sorry, does it say COVER BAND anywhere in my post? No. ?And where do you get off judging me as less of a fan then you? ?I've been posting here for about 5 years and fucking drove 10 hours each way from Toronto to go see them in NY. ?And just so you know, Axl is making the setlist for me, as well as for everyone else in the fucking audience. ?The reason I feel screwed over is cause in 3 weeks I'm seeing the new GNR for the 4th time and it's basically the same setlist every time. You really need to learn to fucking think before you post and start trashing other people. ?Most of the people that are 'bitching' are just relaying their frustrations about a lack of movement and information about what's going on with the new album. ?I'm pretty sure most fans here got NA tour tickets because they assumed GNR would be playing more new stuff. ?I don't pay $100 a ticket to see the same fucking show night after night.

I'd much rather have a year of no news then a year of touring with nothing coming of it.

Anyways, the reason I said 2nd rate (which I cursored with "not the best") is because they don't have the same popularity as SCOM, Nightrain, PC or WTTJ. ?They could get away with playing just those 4 songs off of appetite and most fans wouldn't notice the difference.

I personally, and I can probably speak for at least a percentage of people, would like to see more UYI in the set. ?There are plenty of GOOD UYI songs that I'd rather hear then most of the Appetite songs that were played.

I think people are on edge because Axl has said CD is coming this year, actually late fall, which makes Dec. 19 the last possible day of release to keep his promise, and yet we haven't heard anything. I think maybe people are a little afraid this is gonna be 02 again, so they are preparing themselves for it. As it gets closer to the end of the year, patience is gonna disappear at a rapid rate.

Nothing wrong with Dec. 26, except winter starts Dec. 22. On the Trunk interview, Axl said fall, late fall. Dec. 19 is the last Tuesday in the fall. That's all. Dec. 26 is not bad, because a ton of people go shopping the day after Xmas to get good deals and cash in gift cards.

IT would be damn funny to see it drop on December 26 when everyone is returning and exchanging their holiday gifts and they don't notice a certain CD with maybe a festive color cd cover...

Actually when Axl said Fall, late fall ,do you really believe that?

EDIT: Sorry, I misread something and now I'm a "Fucking Moron" and "I jerk off to Axl playing the old songs". Yes that came from a TRUE GUNS N' ROSES FAN with the screen name of JBENZZ-------  And again, Axl isn't making the setlist for you. If he was, it wouldn't be the same every single time would it?? He's not making you pay $100 to come and see him for a 4th time, so if you are unhappy about it, then who's fault is it but your own?? You shouldn't have paid to see them again.  THAT IS YOUR FUCKING FAULT!!!  AND I BET MOST FANS HERE DIDN'T BUY TICKETS TO SEE GN'R BECAUSE THEY THOUGHT THEY WOULD BE PLAYING NEW STUFF, they bought them because it's their favorite fucking band and they don't really tour that often. If you're such a great fan of the band, you would be happy no matter what they played because them PLAYING A SHOW is rare in itself, if you haven't noticed during the last 13 years.

And what is this lack of movement you speak of?? Aren't they moving around and touring??  Plus, they never promised ANYONE information about the album at a specific time, did they?? NOPE!!! So it seems to me like you're just upsetting yourself because you aren't getting anything YOUR WAY. Live with it and grow up, or at least put a little effort into it.

Here's the real deal. Axl is agian calling this the "Chinese Democracy Tour" and mainly playing songs off of "Appetite". If Axl had said that this was going to be another Greatest Hits/AFD tour then people on here would have no right to complain. Since I bought tickets for the "Chinese Democracy Tour" I expect to hear a bunch of songs off  of "Chinese Democracy". It's really just that simple.

"ANOTHER Greatest hits\AFD tour"Huh  I don't remember Axl ever saying they had one of those before.  Maybe you shouldn't have bought tickets then until the album came out?? Anyone that has been a loyal GN'R fan for all these years, should know by now not to expect too much, or you'll probably be let down. It's as simple as that.

Well, if you're calling November Rain and You Could Be Mine "Cover songs", then what are you calling this band other than a cover band??? 2 covers... KOHD and LALD.  Learn to fucking read moron.  I'm not blaming Axl or the band for anything, all I'm saying is that I think everyone that goes to one of their shows would be happier if it wasn't the appetite for destruction tour.   I'm expressing an opinion.  You can disagree with my opinion but you can't fucking bitch me out for having it.  I don't consider playing shows movement in the long run and I think GNR history is evidence enough of that.  Look at 2002.  I'll consider this year progress when they release an album.

Being a fan doesn't mean loving everything they do.  If they play a shitty setlist or the show goes otherwise badly, fans have a right to be disappointed.

You can jerk off to Axl playing old songs all you want but most of us here are getting frustrated with the poor communication, long delays, and general disrespect that the band and management has given us.

Censoring one of the biggest unofficial fan forums is just another sign of that lack or respect.

Wow, I can tell you won't be around here for very long, will you?? Welcome to the world of negative karma. When people resort to insults over the internet, I wonder who the moron is?? Oh and now I jerk off to Axl playing old songs??  The setlist they play is shitty?? I still think it's funny that you wasted all that money on tickets to a show you don't want to go to.  But I'm the moron, right?? I bought tickets to my show because I want to go and see GN'R, not because I want to cry about wasting money afterwards.

I've seen the new guns 3 times, twice in 02 and once at hammerstein in 06.

Lame is all i can say, all 3 shows were pretty much the same setlist and had all the same problems. ?Sick of waiting 2 hours or more after the opening act for him to get his ass on stage and getting home at 2am. Tired of being able to predict every song and every lame guitar solo. ?And most of all, i'm sick of going to the concert and not being able to hear the vocals as axl keeps his mic on low and is always drowned out by the music. ?I'm not going to spend a couple hundred bucks for tickets to hear drunk guy next to me singing the songs in my ear cus I can't hear axl.

I'll buy the album when it comes out but i'm done with the concerts until things change.

At least you are smart enough to not buy tickets to a concert you don't want to go to. More props to you for that. Some people didn't figure that out until now and are crying about the money they wasted. Hmmmm...

there's no way that the album will just drop in stores out of the blue...why?  Because there are no more stores to drop it into...

Tower Records, Wherehouse, Sam Goody, Musicland...all gone.  Where are they going to drop it?  Starbucks?  Maybe Best Buy...but how many people going in for a flat screen TV are going to swing by the CD racks and grab GNR on an impulse buy?

There's only so much promotion itunes and amazon can do.  There will be advance notice...

"Maybe Best Buy?" No, I'm sure they will skip Best Buy and let Starbucks take care of it as you said. In all seriousness, I'm not really sure where you live, but there are still a ton of places that sell CD's. Best Buy is probably the biggest. There are two stores in one of the malls near me that I know of.  A lot of people go to Wal Mart for their CD's. Circuit City is another big one near where I live. Record Exchange always has new albums in when they come out. Quonset Hut is another one that I can think of off the top of my head. Do I really need to keep naming places that sell CD's?? There are also a ton of independent stores around that sell new CD's. But you're right, there really isn't anywhere for them to put out the album. Why should they even release it then if there aren't anymore stores that will sell them??  Oh my, oh my... Guns N' Roses is in trouble now. "Good luck finding a store to put the new album in Axl. Don't you know that nobody sells CD's anymore?? DUH!!!"

oh yeah really, and what's going to happen when your patience have runned out.. sit behind your computer and shake of anger and then wait for a couple of weeks and buy the record? commit suicide? come on, don't be silly grow up it's only a record

don't worry it will be released in this year. only if axl dies they will burn all cd copies with him. or put into grave.

eh NO! if axl would have died they would still release the damn thing, just like all the records companies do with other rock stars that have unreleased material and died before it's released..

At least you are smart enough to not buy tickets to a concert you don't want to go to. More props to you for that. Some people didn't figure that out until now and are crying about the money they wasted. Hmmmm...

I'm excited to be going to this concert, especially since i am taking  two people who have never been before. I was just stating that after this concert, i will have seen this set 3  times, in 2002, NYC, and on november 13th. I just dont know that I could pay for tickets again unless we got the album. I'm not jaded or upset, just can't justify the money after this next show. If CD comes out, and we get a set with a lot of new songs, it will be different. I am very excited for the album, since I have been waiting a long time like all of us have. I just hope it sees the light of day.
