Floor seating

This was my first time in a GA, no seats setting and I did fine. ?I know I'm older then most of you and much smaller, but I got to the arena at 6:30, was inside by 7:45 and in front of the barracade from Bach's set to the end, my husband and I did not move once. ?We were pushed a few times, but my husband is over 6 feet and 200 pounds and the security guy in front of me was great, he would tell anyone who pushed me to calm down. ?I had some idiot try to push between me and the guy next to me, we were practically siamese twins, but neither of us would budge and between my husband and the bald headed security guy, he quickly got the message and moved on. ?I had Finck and Fortus in my face all night; not a bad thing at all and there was nothing more incredible then seeing every pore on Axl's face and getting a real good look at all his jewelry. ?There will always be assholes who drink too much and then get stupid. ?I don't see the point of spending $75 +, getting drunk and either not remembering the show or being kicked out.

I thought it was just awesome and I'm so looking forward to Estero.  I hope I get as lucky there as I did at Sunrise with my positioning.  I don't know about you, but I thought security was terrific...and not just because they were good to me, but I saw them doing a lot of really good things for a lot of people who seemed to be overcome by heat, etc.

I was on the floor last night.? I got there at 3:20 pm we were first in line.? The crowd was full of people trying to bully their way to the front.? I was bracing myself against the barricade all night to prevent falling over.? Got kicked in the face twice by crowd surfers.? Was cursed out in Portugese by some asshole who pushed his way in next to me.? ?Lost my friend by the time they got to "Brownstone".
? So I finally got to be front and center for GNR, and it will be the last.? Going for seats next time.? Let those lunatics kill each other.

Hey dude, I'm with you at Toronto, I'm 6'6  240, so we could make a serious wall.   
It's gonna be my first time on the floor too, but I'm not as concerned as making it all the way to the front, being tall, I can kinda see a few rows more than most

I can appreciate getting FRONT ROW center at the rail, but then you have to worry about losing that spot.  And you get that one view for the whole show.  Personally, I'd rather move about in the crowd and be 4-5 rows back and see from the left, right, and center.

Ya man...I am goin wit 3 pals too and they are all casual guns n roses listeners. I for some reason want to be front row centre for at least a bit of the show. But I also want to have a good time and drink before and not have to hold my piss for the whole show. I think Im goin to risk it and go a bit later and try and shove my way to the front after papa roach ends. Hope to see ya there my tall friend

IF you have GA and u get there early i suggest make friends with EVERYONE for acouple of reasons 1. if u do fall down everyone will be there to pick you up 2. its always better to enjoy the show with a friend and 3. if u despretly do have 2 use the bathroom its a possibilty of gettin back as when u try 2 go back and ppl ask whatthe fuck your doing you just tell them your friends r up there and they will ablige for you

I think I'll be set standing somewhat near the back of the GA section, for one reason I can move freely to and fro in case I do have to hit the men's room.

2nd, being 6ft I think it's not fair for those shorter than me to have to look over me..that's just my thought...besides I agree..make friends with those folks around you so you can get your spot saved when you do hit the bathroom.

course all that could change depending on my mood..but the make friends part is legit true.

For the GnR shows I've been to, I've made it to the front row but to the right of the stage.  I'm a short girl so front centre would just be too much aggro for me.  I have tended to just get there early, get to the barrier at the front right and cling to it for the next however many hours.  It's not as pushy as front centre but still ideal in terms of closeness to the band. 

Try to know your venue too - at Newcastle there are entrances all round the arena but most people went straight for the main entrance and created a massive bottleneck - I went down to the last side one and came out right near the stage before anyone else had chance to run there from the main entrance, haha.
