Kind of sucks  the guy can't even sell out an 8,000 seat venue .    This tour  is going to bea disaster if he doesn't start selling tickets

Scheduling 4 shows in FL doesn't help either.  If that was the only show in FL, it would be sold out.

most of this article is not true

The part I found odd was this-

GNR was supposed to kick off the Southern leg of its ?Chinese Democracy? tour Oct. 20 in Jacksonville, but that show got rescheduled for Oct. 31. Then its Nashville stop Sunday was canceled altogether.

No one official said Nashville is cancelled.

Guns N? Roses were set to start the Southern tour in Sunrise Tuesday night. The Nashville show couldn?t be rescheduled, so they added another stop in Puerto Rico, Stoll said.

Also, as I recall these dates were all announced at the same time.  PR wasn't added as far as I remember-

The article did point out that most bands don't sell out in that area till the day of the show. I live in El Paso, Tx and can tell you thats the usual case here. Regardless of who it is. Even big name rock bands. Its just the area I live in has a lot of people that decide to go on the day of the show and walk up and buy tickets. Maybe its the same there too. ?smoking

I find the majority of this article to be unconfirmed BS, personally.  Aside from the fact they are playing there tonight and ticket sales were less than desirable, it just seems they wanted to fill space with useless and speculative info.

Notice rest of Florida is selling well, it's only that show that's selling bad.

Then notice it's a different promoter doing that show. Hmm. Coincidence?

Plus, they are overbooked down there.

this is what happens when you go on tour with no new material and very little promotion. if they had those, they'd sell out probaly every arena show

I guess I must have dreamed all the new songs they played the 4 times I saw them this year-

Are you expecting them to play the entire new album?

And I agree-this many shows in FL was probably not necessary.

playing new songs at a concert isnt exposure. you have to get people there in the 1st place for them to hear. they dont have a video, or radio single or anything like that. you cant have a world tour supported by the online fans.

I wonder what exactly "selling well" is. Sunrise is definately sold/selling well. ?Tampa and Jacksonville there are still a shit ton of good tickets left. What constitutes selling well?

Of all the FL shows, Estero is the smallest market. ( Ft. Myers/Naples area).  I was surprised originally to hear they were playing there. ( Wondered where the hell Estero was) The retirees way outnumber normal people  hihi

Jax, Tampa & Miami are more cosmopolitan, more younger people. .

the ticket prices are WAY too high.....most casual fans wouldn't even consider paying 75-90 bucks per ticket for a band that has released no new music in over a decade.....only the most hardcore of fans will show up.....i got 4 tickets for the worcester show at a mind boggling 344 bucks and i'm gonna end up eating the cost for at least 1 of them cause none of my friends want to pay that much....i have no problem paying that much because axl is the best of all time, but to anyone who is not a hardcore fan, that cost is ridiculous.....none of the shows except MSG will sell out
