Seriously, that man masters EVERYTHING. From lightning-fast shredding to bluesy solos and an amazing rendition of Don't Cry. Getting him to the band was the best thing that has happened since...well, I don't know really.

But I feel as if the current line-up now more than ever is a band, that appears and interacts like a full band (instead of the feeling of every man on his own)

Besides, Ron Thal is probably the nicest musician in modern history. So cheers to him, you make GNR even better^^

Ron is a genuine real guy. Complete opposite of Buckethead.

Oh yes, I was going to bring that up as well... While being a good player, Buckethead doesn't seem to be designed (yes, for all I know he could be a robot Cheesy) for a band... Ron really completes GNR, and you can feel that he is one with the music.

EDIT: Oh, I see. Didn't know where to put it. Can a mod move it?

Ron is my second favorite GnR member to Pitman... Axl is a distant third.

Hehe. Fortus and Finck are awesome as well. I just recently got into GNR, and while the old lineup kicks unbelieavable amount of ass... I still prefer the new kids on the block. Axl sings like a god nowadays as well ^^

Ron is one cool mo fo. I hope he remains in the band until the they call it quits. This year has been one of the best years for GN'R ever IMO, and he's been a big part of that. I hope this whole band stays together for that matter.

Why does this guy who has nothing to do with "Chinese Democracy" get so much credit. I would like to thank the guys on the album who helped Axl write all these great songs. After listening to some of Ron's solo material I highly doubt he will ever write a song for Guns. Ron, I would like to thank you for being an adequate replacement for Buckethead, and for being nice enough to respond to my fellow forum members e-mails.

I don't care if Ron plays the foot guitar with his own band but I don't think he should be embarrassing GnR by playing it.

Bumble isn't much of a Rock Star. He doesn't drink, do drugs, or sleep around on his wife.

Buckethead's solo material isn't exactly representative for GNR as well, yet he was able to add something special to gnr. Both are great virtuosos who can be huge assets to every guitar-driven band, their extreme diversity is a testimony for that. I don't see Ron having any troubles writing within the context of GNR. Players' solo-material shouldn't be the only reference here, it would say a whole lot about the two RF's. Neither should GNR's past sound be. After all, Axl always stated that he wanted to take GNR into a new musical direction.

I wish Ron all the luck in GNR and a great time touring with Axl and the rest. I for one, highly appreciate his participation in this band.

Ron's a funny guy.

It's nice to have him in the band.
