Though this might be interesting to read again, during this small lull in news...plus some new fans may have missed it.......

I'm hoping for a least a double album especially as back in 1999 axl said:

" The record will be about, anywhere from 16 to 18 songs, but we recorded at least two albums' worth of material that is solidly recorded".

http://www.gnr.org.uk/news/news11.htm

enjoy!

With the people he had at that time. It's been 7 years since that interview, counting changes in music, not to mention a different drummer now, several guitarists, and an overall different approach (see 2002), I would think that most likely they took the lyrics to those songs, and the idea and started from scratch with alot of them.

I highly doubt we're gonna hear 7 year old songs, with guitar tracks from Paul Huge and possibly Dave Navarro, and drum lines from Josh Freese.

Technical Ecstasy, Axl mentions it was the album that got him into sabbath on the trunk interview.

There are far more exiting things coming  than losing time speaking about a guy with a bucket on his head
If thats true, then why are you ALWAYS talking about him at every forum you go to? In EVERY fucking post no matter what the topic of the thread is. Take your own fucking advice for once! Please, for the love of God take your own advice. Everyone is sick of hearing it. We know already, you've told us a million times: The whole universe sucks while Fortus rules.

I had never read this. Shows another perspective of what happened with Slash, that I didn't know about. Watching Behind the Music lays it all on Axl, but this interview shows that Slash may have been pretty arrogant in his ways too.

I'm with the BH fans on this, I could care less if he wears a bucket on his head, the stuff we heard him do with Guns is amazing, spine tingling stuff and as cool a guy as Bumblefoot seems to be he can't do that TWAT solo justice!
Same goes for Richard on Maddy. Don't get me wrong, obviously they're both great players and I love the shit they play but BH has a style that is very hard to replicate. He took TWAT to another level. I just hope for the love of GOD his parts remain on CD!!!

Well to all them people that think Axl is why slash and them are gone, here you go.

Rose: That was their choice to leave. Everybody that's gone did it by choice. Matt was fired, but Matt came in attempting to get fired and told many people so that night. So it's kind of like everybody left by choice. They really didn't think I was going to figure out a way to make a record, [and they] didn't want to help really make a record. Everybody kind of wanted what they wanted individually rather than what's in the best interest of the whole.

And everyone thinks it was Axl...

I've been both a Buckethead-fan as a Bumblefoot-fan since the early nineties. There's nothing Buckethead could throw at Ron, Ron couldn't play. I think it's very unfair to qualify him like that with TWAT being played as little as it was and knowing how assbackward Ron was added to the band. Let's evaluate it again once they actually start playing the song with Ron having the luxury of having as much time to get used to this band as Buckethead had.

-PEACE-

Ps. As far as Nesquick goes...

hire a guy like BH?? For me, that was an insult to the GN'R legacy. What a f** joke it was. It was like an immense mongol casting.

Last time I saw you talking like that about Buckethead, you were sweating like a pedophile in mother care. Please understand that the real joke here are you, for disrespecting people?s intelligence; by assuming that the people on this board are still in for some more irrelevant, hate (=?mongol casting? = finally we get to see your true motives) ignorance driven, clueless Buckethead bashing by you. Especially, since they witnessed the last time you pulled a thread off topic, by introducing Buckethead. The same guy you used as an excuse (=?he doesn?t interest me, I don?t want to waste time discussing him?) only a couple of days ago, to flee "for cryin' out loud" from a ?discussion? you initiated and carried (=euphemism of the year) with an equal amount of ignorance and absence of argumentation.

Notice the date on that baby....? Roll Eyes rofl

The reason Bumblefoot seems to have trouble with the TWAT solo, in my humble opinion, is the simple lack of a killswitch on his guitar.

I don't get this whole Buckethead nostalgia thread. I saw the band with Bucket, and thought he was brilliant, but as we all know, Axl wouldn't got someone in who didn't have the chops : Bumble's great too, and he's got a hat just like me.

People don't reminisce about Paul Tobias, or Josh Freese for example, even though the two are probably the players on the leaked demos. Buckethead WAS, and great he was in the band. But he's not in the band anymore, lets look to the future.

Chinese Democracy is a blend of the lyrical wit of Axl Rose and the musical genius of Buckethead. I didn't believe this until I heard the leaks. There was a deep, deep chemistry there.

Everybody kind of wanted what they wanted individually rather than what's in the best interest of the whole.

And everyone thinks it was Axl...

You are overlooking the fact that sometimes a person can make it next to impossible to continue a partnership. Enough so that the other will throw their hands up in the air and say "I can't take this anymore" and leave.
