The Axl Rose Interview With Kurt Loder From MTV NOVEMBER 8, 1999
«

Though this might be interesting to read again, during this small lull in news...plus some new fans may have missed it.......
I'm hoping for a least a double album especially as back in 1999 axl said:
" The record will be about, anywhere from 16 to 18 songs, but we recorded at least two albums' worth of material that is solidly recorded".

Man I just thought Robin took a year break from GNR to play the NIN tour but Axl makes it sound like he was totally out of the band. So glad he got him back. (Now go get Buckethead
). Also looks like Paul Tobias will probably make an appearance on CD.

this interview makes one thing clear.
CITR Demo that leaked is from 2000.
definitely from 2000.
since brian may in november only confirmed to play for Axl.
so the brian may parts must have been done either in december 99, or 2000.

This sounds familiar .. almost like I read something like this before RIR4?! heh
Rose: We're hoping. Yes, definitely, everything seems to be going well. Robin's departure was abrupt, sudden, you know, not expected...
Loder: He just wanted to get back to Nine Inch Nails, right?
Rose: [continuing] ... but at the same time, it's turned out to be a good thing. We've been able to push some of the guitar parts a step farther, that had he been here, it's not something that would have been considered, and I wouldn't have been rude enough to attempt to do that. Robin did a great job, but we've been able to up the ante a little bit.

He talks a little shit about Robin but doesn't completely burn the bridge and Robin ends up back in the band. Axl discussed Buckethead's departure the same way saying him leaving was actually gonna be "helpful to the recording process" implying that Buckethead was hard to work with and was slowing things down. I'm sure both sides were at fault and I hope the bridge between Axl and Buckethead is still somewhat intact.

camp seems more stable now plus the songs which are released will be far newer than the press make out....the 2000 album must have been shelved.

Haven't read this for a long time, nice read.
Axl seems to be one of those persons who can be your best friend if you are honest and loyal to him, stab him in the back and you'll never hear from him again, well atleast for few years that is.
I'm also glad he got Robin back, and Bumblefoot..
Bucket has great sense of melody and Madagascar won't be the same live anymore (I really don't know what Richard is trying to do) but overall his input is yet to be heard as Better turned out to be a Robin Finck song.

He talks a little shit about Robin but doesn't completely burn the bridge and Robin ends up back in the band.? I'm sure both sides were at fault and I hope the bridge between Axl and Buckethead is still somewhat intact.? ?
yeah riiiiight... I mean...recall Chris Verna aswell! I hope the bridge between them is still "intact". lol.
You people really need to turn the page. BH is gone. Kapout. Over. it's over. Forever. He is somewhere between the moon and saturn, very far away from the band, and will never ever be related to GN'R again. ne-ver, e-ver. The band works far better now.
Today, there is Richard, there is Robin, they are a fantastic duet, These 2 guys are the Present and probably also the future of Guns N' Roses on guitars. It's fine like that. Can you get used to it for once??
People always want to believe the worst, there is no need to believe BH will be back, there is no need to be so negative, 2002 was enough, be positive/ the band works fine now, and that's what matters. Let the negativity appart

Chris never joined GNR.. did a try out when duff was even there
BH was THE BEST THING that ever happened to GNR musically... maybe he is gone in physical way, but i dont think he will be gone when you hear CD.. and in the end that is what it matters, so he is related to GNR :stickitupyourass:
and for the person who said that BH was slowing down the recording proccess, dude are you crazy???
BH realases at least 4 CD per year! thats why left.. he DIDNT wanna spent 3 years more doing nothing... BH is not hard to work with.. the only people that have ever said that is axl and tommy.. none of the dozens persons that have been involved in other projects have ever said anything like that

Robin also had troubles with him. Anyway, who cares? There are far more exiting things coming (Tour, album etc...) than losing time speaking about a guy with a bucket on his head who has not been related to GN'R anymore since December 5 2002. It's been a long time now. Turn the page. Really.
