Maybe I'm alone on this thought, but if CD just appeared on shelves out of nowhere, without any announcement, half of the excitment would be gone for me I think. Don't get me wrong, it would be great to have the album, but I would just feel as if the band were selling themselves so fucking short without promoting it or anything. The 'suspense' building up to the release date (if we get one soon) is half the fun. I KNOW this would never happen, but hypothetically speaking, if it did, I would be happy and a little disappointed at the same time. I want to see them promote the shit out of this album.

GN'R has a deal with MLB.

The tour starts tomorrow and there is a World Series game tomorrw

So was the 2002 tour... I think it will be ridiculous if they don't play at least one new song that we haven't heard yet, but that's also exactly what I'm expecting to happen.

Yeah, a couple of days ago, you couldn't get any tickets except for nose bleeds, now you can get good tickets all of a sudden.  Maybe more were released and/or some tickets were returned, who knows.  Although this show did seem like one of the few US shows selling well.  I guess we will find out tommorrow.
