RHCP tonight in Boston-GN'R mention (funny)

RHCP was much more unique than GNR was.  They fused conventional rock, metal, and funk into one tight package of sound, a very unlikely combinationk.  Plus, they've been playing music together as a band for 23 years(with some lineup switches due to death, etc).

I saw the RHCP tonight in Boston and they were late (show was to go on on at 7:30 and they took the stage around 10:30). Anthony says "sorry we're late, we've been hanging around Axl Rose."?

I was at the show last night.? Great, great show.? I always knew that John Frusciante was good but until last night I wasn't aware of how great he is.


He is AMAZING.

i used to have an old pic of Axl hanging with Kieids and Flea around 1989....Axl is a hufe Faith No More fan so its no surprise he loves RHCP.....I have many many many RHCP audio bootlegs and on several from late 1989 the Peppers play My Michelle and Paradise City and Welcome to the jungle bits and pieces and Kiedis tries to sing liek Axl and lets just say they werent doing it in a nice way...More of a mocking way.......also on a peppers bootleg from 1989 Kiedis says the song they are about to play next is th elongest song ever written except for axl rose's november rain..how they knew abotu november rain in 1989 is intriguing.....

also in 1989 The Peppers released Mother's Milk, their first album with Johnny Frusciante.

After the song "Punk Rock Classic" John plays the opening SCOM riff.  He also thanks GNR in the liner notes of the album.

the chilis toured with faith no more in 1987..the best tour ever...i saw them at the irving plaza in 1987 and i was 8 fuckin years old...........like i said though on the mothers milk tour the peppers would play gnr songs as a joke and mock them cuz anthony said axl was ragging on them for playing the SCOM riff in punk rock classic.........and for the dude who said the peppers sound different now than they ddi in the 1980s..have u listened to the new songs 'charlie', 'hump de bump' or storm in a teacup....those songs are straight out of their 80s funk sound

the guy says RHCP is boring...HAHAHA...one of the most influential bands to ever come out of the 1980s....as great as GNR is lets be honest what RHCP were doing in the 80s was even more original...

putting a glass dildo up the ass, and singing is also original, but that doesnt make it good music.

always been a RHCP fan - since "blood sugar" especially - but like the newer stuff too.  I met Chad (drummer) last year and we chatted about GnR - he was v excited about chinese democracy and new songs.

Saw that you posted this same thing twice. Can't imagine why. There's not any amount of truth to it. You really should look into the Chili's influences. Seeing as the Peps sound exactly like their influences, that would make them un-original.

Don't get me wrong. They're a great band. They've done their fair share for rock. But to say they were/are more unique and original then GNR is just incorrect.
