people like myself with little to do waiting for something we want its simple Economics... I demand it... they supply it... at least you hope... thou, i have demanded it for years... but, that seems to be just about over... I think the album has a "Purple Elephant" tag attached to it so... when it comes out most of everybody in the world will know... GN'R fan or not... it will be on Mtv, Vh1 etc., etc., cause it has been long awaited. So there is no real marketing needed. If you just let marketing go by this it would even be good enough... hell, if a person gets the CD and tells two people there is spreading the word right there... It will catch like wild fire... I am a huge GN'R fan and here at college just the sparks of the tour and that the CD is gonna be out this year along with the small Axl mentions here and there have had tons of people I now around campus asking me about GN'R or telling me they cannot wait, if I have any info., people telling me I heard the leaks, I love Better... blah, blah, blah, it will be fine... people will flock to it...

Honestly, I'm not sure how much promotion would have an effect on the preconceived notions about GnR and CD.  The best promotion they could get, to change peoples mind, is dropping the album (and probably a single) that's good enough to compel people to buy it.

Getting people to hear it in the first place is PROMOTION. No one's going to know how good it is if they haven't heard anything from it (single/video/radio) or don't even know it's out (media ads etc).

There is obviously a self glorifying marketing campaign taking place and all words of wisdom must come from Mercks mouth or they are destroyed.

Why is this site removing certain articles when requested by Merck and leaving others. Why do we have to read the cringe worthy news releases by Merck and any other information from a reliable source such as RollingStone or Scott Dickhead Weiland get absolutely destroyed.

Why bother? Has Merck granted this site special privilledges? Who is developing gunsnroses.com anyway? Should it amaze people if it was somebody from here?
