It's an ill wind that blows nobody good. Things are turning.
Guess the wind of change is so evidently rising that even the dullest witted mug can tell.
an inversion, turnabouts and/or changeovers ahead.

kerrang magazien has gone from a good magazine to a gossip bullshit magazine in a few years time. i don't need kerrang to tell me what they think about gn'r, but i gotta admit: some good reviews means good promotion.

I don't think there's any excuse for Kerrang's unprofessionalism. For a magazine that has an almost monopoly when it comes to rock/alternative music reporting in the UK, they are downright inept at most things.
It is blatantly obvious that they don't try for any house style. You can't say 'Kerrang hates GnR' or 'Kerrang loves GnR' because they change their stance depending on who wrote that week's little article or review. They don't have any consistency in opinion. This wouldn't be so bad if they could justify what they are saying but they use 'journalists' that have clearly just fallen out of media class and don't have a clue what a proper review consists of. They will write based on how they feel about the band/album/whatever, without giving any thought to deconstructing their opinions and actually, intelligently, backing up their comments.
It's just a shame that pretty much any rock fan in the UK started out reading Kerrang and that's a trend that will probably continue. Someone needs to topple them from their throne. Mags like Terrorizer and Metal Hammer have much better journalists, for example.
So long as people buy Kerrang though, there's no need for them to stop peddling their bullshit.
Oh, and there was definitely something about Buckcherry in Kerrang last week as my boyfriend read it too and told me what they'd said.

Kerrang did a review of the new album by looking at leaked tracks and tracks being played live, they slated it.

yeah metal hammer rocks
they even had axl on the cover of one magazine this year and wrote a positive article about the band. they also reviewed rock am ring (and the hammerstein gigs... i`m not 100% sure about that though) and said that the show rocked.
edit: a new pic by the way, which was used on various magazine covers....

Kerrang have always got HIM or Nirvana on their cover, and if you don't like it or Metal Hammer theirs always Q with their true story of Nirvana every 3 weeks.
Of course you could aways buy Rolling Stone that US magazine about bands none of us in the UK have ever heard of, or ever will.
