Prob already been posted but NME have mentioned the 21st as the date for CD (based on the RS article). At least it's some publicity even if it is the wrong date!!

no wonder Axl dislikes people taking photo's.
NME could have found a better photo to use than this one.
First impression's of the photo give the impression Axls doing a high kick while on his mobile.

I think it's about time for Axl to retire the head-butt kick. When he used to do it he was skinny and it looked like a madman bursting with energy. Now it kind of...doesn't.

December, while technically feasible, would be career suicide...gotta be out by black friday or they may as well wait until february, IMO, of course.

I wish they would publically come out with a release date soon. I have been getting all kinds of google and other alerts about 21st being release date. The press will be all over GNR about cancelling release date or postponing it if it does not happen on the 21st even though we know it is wrong, but everybody else is getting there info from RS. Unless they plan on releasing it sooner then that date .

I don't see why a December release before christmas would necessarily make a career suicide.
I hear the best part of the top longtime sellers weren't released in that particular period.

Does anyone think the release date WILL be announced before Oct 20?

Before the first concert date.

I do. Over the weekend I was thinking we might hear something this week to respond to the R.S. article. Although next week is possible as well. But honestly I think we will hear something in the next 2 weeks.

May it be sooner than that like within 24 hours we may hear something. Lest I should forget then, I'd like to say happy birthday to Eclipsed here. peace

There are numerous indications pointing to november.

Axl said 2006 definately is the year, several times.
GNR.com said it would be released on one of the remaining tuesdays of the year.
Fortus, I think, said it would be released during the North American tour.
Rolling Stones had got information on a November release.
Assuming the break up to 20 oct. is for the last finishing touches and mastering.
December is too late from a marketing point of view.

If all this holds true we will have a date within 2 weeks.

Has anybody thought that maybe rolling stone were mislead on purpose? And that Axl is sat rubbing his hands laughing at the fact that everyone is so stupid, then hes gonna go and release it the week before/after? Not that it makes much of a difference but I think rolling stone have been bluffed on the date...
