Perhaps we are seriously close to the album announcement. This kind of article is going to increase with every passing day.

when did the site got updated for the first time? Wasnt is on the weekend (cant remember for sure)

The official site launched a week ago, last friday. There were small updates made over the weekend regarding the amount of time tickets were on sale and fan response.

It's not easy to take a remark like this seriously when you can't be bothered to spell check. Or maybe "discusting" is a word not in my vocabulary meaning "really f'ing great?" They'll give a release date when they are ready - getting pissed off at people is not helping you or anyone else.

Jay-Z album comes out Nov 21.....He had a #1 album two albums ago...Interest is fading...

Snoop Dogg hasnt had a #1 album since around 1996....No threat here

Eminem comes out with a mix tape (re-up) whatever that is...Doesnt sound like that
will generate any buzz.

Chinese Democracy should hold the #1 spot quite a few months if its any good.

Guns N' Roses should give the CD away for free with a ticket at the concert.  It would still be counted on the billboard, if the price of the CD was built into the ticket.  Prince did it with a recent album.

Sirius Satelite through out there diffrent channels have been talking about the tour. I Have GNR set as one of my presets so a few minutes ago Estranged was played on hair nation. After the song the dj said "Well earlier in the show I was fooling around and ?been teasing you all mornig about when Chinese democracy is coming out, well a just heard that NOV. 21st is the release date. mark your calenders, what is the line in vegas of that being the day" or something close to it she said.

So i guees everyone is picking up on the RS deal.

Oh, you made a point, but maybe not the one you intended. I'll answer the most rational statement that you made, though - how could RS be a better source than GNR management? How could they have info that someone inside the organization doesn't have? That makes no sense.

I'm very tired of people who have nothing invested in this album, except being fans of the band, acting like Axl owes them something. Seriously- if the album means that much to you, your life must be pretty empty. I'm excited to hear it, but I'm not dumb enough to stake my emotional state on something that I have no control over and ultimately, won't affect my life that much. Axl is one of my favorite singers, and has been for close to 20 years, but whether this project stands or falls is on him, not me. I wish him the best, but I'm not invested enough to get upset with him because he hasn't called my house yet to tell me when the album is coming out.

RS are a very reputable magazine, and I would take any of their rumours seriously. Merck is saying that RS just picked a date out of the hat. No offense to Merck, but RS do have insiders in the music bus, and although he doesn't want anyone to spoil his "BIG" announcement, he's going to have to deal with leaks.

What is this rumour based on? Perhaps RS know the status of the current mastering, or maybe they know the album is currently in a mass production status?
