I know I should be waiting to contact you in regards to Chinese
Democracy until GnR Management makes the official announcement, but this
Rolling Stone article is creating quite the buzz in the music world. Any
accuracy to these reports? When can we expect the official announcement?

Exactly.  Not to mention I would love to know why you think the band's management is going to give you specific info before making an announcement?

Poor Merck must have copy/pasted the same answer to at least 1000 e-mails between here and MyGnr.

If that really was what Merck said id say the fact that he didnt deny it means this may be correct, and the album is set for a November 21st release.

Everyone knows Merck is quick to shoot down rumors, so I think this is a good sign.

Well if it's not the 14th or 21st of November, then it's not coming out this year.  They have to have it on the shelves for the weekend shopping after Thanksgiving--the two busiest shopping day's of the year in the United States.
