I'll never forget those people that said it was the greatest song they had ever heard in their lives. All 16 seconds of it? I thought it could have been GNR but I never heard enough of it to say for sure. Since another clip or the whole song hasn't surfaced, I'll say it isn't GNR. If it was, we would've heard it by now. |

Anyone notice the solo towards the end is actually the solo Finck plays live these days... I love that solo.. it was a good addition to that song... But on topic, who is questioning the legitimacy of those demo's? |

I listened to that Checkmate clip like 20 times in a row and I still can't figure out if it's Axl. I mean it sounds like it COULD be but really I would need to hear more.
The part where it sounds like he is saying "every chance was given"-that end note of "given" does sound like it could be Axl. I guess we will never know for sure until this makes it to a full recording.
