as a child i glanced into the sky
and thought i saw a smile,
but of all that is,
and was still then,
anymore all i see is a painted grin...

oftentimes what is believed, and what is true, are 2 different things...
( an abstract "for instance":there are those who BELIEVE charles manson is in prison for murdering when in TRUTH he personally murdered no-one...)

im not saying that is true..
but if you are not lank.. you are a very close person to him and you CANT deny it...
and the only reason we asked you if you are Dave is to THANK HIM/YOU and WISH HIM/YOU WELL... cuz he is/you are a great artist...

http://www.myspace.com/mankrage
there you can hear 3 songs.. of a demo from 94
its been said that the record of this guys was produced by axl..
a few years ago it was supposed to be realased.. but nothing happened
now suddenly they opened a myspace profile
the songs are cool.. straight rock n roll very cool riffs..
paul can play lol

There's 4 demo songs on there. Click on *Retro ' demo* -The image that appears, it's Slash like? hihi

another thing, the singing on *Reto - demo* reminds me of the singing on Ugly Kid Joe's track I hate Everything About You

lank/tobias/mickler

Correction is that Johnny Evans wrote the percussion portions of the songs - otherwise everything else is correct.

C'mon guys - we need lyrics to "Retro"...

hope is getting by,
even when you haven't hope
faith is having nothing,
except enough to live and cope...

no... i am not your question dodger... i have not recieved your questions... please re-post... and by the way, why do you assume i am a guy?
I may know who you are.  If so I've partied with you quite a few times in Lafayette around 1990 or 91 I believe.  I'd forgotten about those times until tonight when watching the "Heavy" (origins of heavy metal) 4 part series on VH-1 which of course included some G'n'R.  The show made me search for Axl and see what's up with him and then I saw Mank Rage on a website and it all came back to me.  The early 90's were mostly a blur as I was drunk quite a bit.  I wish I knew then what I do know as there was some history there that I just drank through.  I did pull the Lafayette to Southern California move like Axl, Izzy, and Dave among other but not for music, I'm talentless there.  Hope to get a response one way or another.

i really like the bass "solo" in the musical breakdown of it's funny...
flavors of entwhistle, and also, slight
shades of townshend on the guitar strumming

Alot of depth is reflected in the playing and in the lyrics. They have been together for awhile and it shows. I see they have a new photo up on their myspace page, as well as some comments about other recordings... ok
