There are a ton of Skids tunes I think alot of us would want to hear. But the man has alot of hits, plus a new album he's recording and only about 40 minutes to play. The list you reported is pretty much exactly what I would expect.

I really don't see the logic of having Sebastion Bach associated with this tour/relaunch.

Axl (and band) should be associating with current, edgy bands (the Killers being a great example). Bach is so attached to that late 80's scene/sound that GNR managed to surpass back in the day.

To hark back to that is very odd in my view. Great that Axl is doing an old buddy a favour and all - but in all seriousness, I think its time he focused less on favours and more on how the public is going to perceive this whole tour/relaunch. I can't fathom it.

i don't think it's just about 'helping a friend'. ?i wouldn't underestimate the Sebastian Bach fan base. ?and i'm not just talking about former Skid Row fans, either. ?SB has done a lot of TV shows, and he has a whole seperate fan base. ?plus he has an upcoming album, "Angel Down", so it makes sense for him to be touring with GN'R right now. (as he did in Europe, this summer)

you might be surprised... there are a lot of people who are going to the GN'R shows, just to see Sebastian Bach open for them!! ?

Actually , Brother the last time I saw Baz back in 99 (kick ass show by the way) we interviewed him for our College paper here in Buffalo,NY and asked if he would play the threat. Sure enough halfway into the set, "this ones for you mothertruckers, here is the THREAT!!!!" It was fucking great.sUBHMAN rACE kicks ass, and is a great CD. I think it sucks that from that CD he pretty much only plays "Frozen"  I would love to hear, Beat Yourself Blind, My Enemy, FireSign and Into Another.

Now if I was a music fan and only heard I remember You, would I think these dudes were heavy? No way. However, lumping Skid Row in with Winger and what not is like saying GnR  sounds like Warrant.

Skid Row, whether warranted or not, in the wider public consciousness are either thought of as a late 80s "party" band or theyre forgotten altogether. I am talking the average man on the street here.

Axl obviously wants to be taken seriously with this tour and album, so all Im saying is that I would not be touring with Seb Bach, Id be trying to get some edgy and relevant current bands playing with me, much like the Inland thing- just my opinion

but see, most times when an older band takes out some new acts its seen as being "trendy" to try and pull in a younger audience... Skid Rows music is alot closer to GNRs than say the killers(who I bet will open for gnr after papa roach). baz is having a renewed popularity recently.. with the whole VH1 supergroup show, and gilmore girls... he has a pretty big fanbase...

I know ALOT of people who are going to these shows JUST because bach is on the tour.. one of my friends said "usually id say fuck fake gnr, but with baz onboard i want to go"

I dont think having a trendy band in baz place will turn more younger people onto gnr.. they either are into it or not from my experience(and me being 18 and all haha). I dont want 13year old girls in the front row only knowing gnrs singles(which sadly I got at VR after fall to peices was a big hit)

This is all wrong.

Skid Row was ahead of their time in the late-80's/early-90's. Only their debut self-titled album, came across as 'hair' type. Slave & Subhuman were both in line with what Metallica was doing, although much more melodic.

I have several friends who feel the same way. Alot of people are forgetting that there is another band in between Bach and GNR as well. We don't know who's taking over after Papa Roach yet, but I'm sure it'll be Buckcherry or someone else in line with GNR. And I also have to agree with the above post and mention again that if nothing else, at least Bach ain't cky or Mix Master!
