With Axl simply singing what words and melodies that's already there, naturally. He's got a better voice. That alone heightens the quality. If Axl had also been involved in the creative process, it could even have been a good album.

The snakepit albums have some gr8 songs. I'll admit i didnt like the singer on the first album much, but the guitar work is great

Yeah, I personaly like It's Five O' Clock Somewhere and Aint Life Grand better than UYI I & II, musically. Ofcourse they would've been miles better with Axl singing on them. And I even think Axl's creative influence would've made for a more edgier album, whereas now it's more bluesy. But it would've been better if Axl started massaging more of Slash's ideas in the Illusions era than the other way around, like it has been now.

Most of Slash's Snake Pit is ok, but it can get somwhat dull, it's like what Axl said, when he said Slash didn't like happy stuff like "Sweet Child"

i think it's five o'clock somewhere is a great cd, i like it better than alg even. there are some fucking awesome songs on those cds, so don't knock them. would they have been better with axl?.....it sure as hell wouldn't have made it any worse, but i think the singer on five oclock somewhere did a decent job

I think the first Snakepit record was good but would have been Excellent with Axl on there...

I didn't care for the second one too much. mostly because of Rod Jackson.. So I am sure Axl could have made it much better.

Not at all. Great riffs, great songs, great work between the guitarists. Powerful, worked-out songs and a great ballad. Only 1 or 2 fillers. A classic album, one of my favourites of all time. With Axl singing it could be my all-time favourite.

Not at all. Great riffs, great songs, great work between the guitarists. Powerful, worked-out songs and a great ballad. Only 1 or 2 fillers. A classic album, one of my favourites of all time. With Axl singing it could be my all-time favourite.
confused confused Shocked! You cant be serious that is not better then gnr music. UYI kills snakepit. And every cd that sucked if axl sang on them yes they would be better.

Have you heard the fuckin' album? Have you heard Neither Can I, Dime Store Rock, Beggars, Monkey Chow, Be the Ball, Back and Forth etc.? I can't believe that after all  you'd say these songs aren't flawless pieces of music. If you still keep saying that these tracks ain't have awesome music then I don't know what you loved in GN'R. Maybe the piano, lol.
