For me, it's no choice. I'm going with Girth. I mean Coma.

They're incredibly different songs.

One is aggressive and the other isn't.

The only thing that ties them together is that they are both introspective. Otherwise everything about them is different.

I prefer Coma when I'm in the mood for it, and Estranged if I'm in a different mood.

Agree with every thing you say.

But I'll always prefer Coma no matter the mood.  i think it's more introspective an personal level.

i dig coma, but i think it has cool parts, as opposed to being a song that is cool through and through.

that last 2 and a half minutes is killer, but there are sections that it couldve done with out, like the sound effects.

i vote dolphins. i mean estranged.

Coma is an amazing, amazing, amazing song. But Estranged is the greatest song of all time by any band.

'Coma' is the most brilliant song ever recorded, IMO. It has such an intense, ugly poetry to it. 'Estranged' is a fantastic song as well, I just haven't been a big fan of it. I think Axl's done better. I think 'Coma' was a sum of each indivual members' best efforts: Axl's best lyrics/vocals, Slash's best solos, Duff's best bass, etc...

Estranged is a better song, it has more meaning behind it and excellent solos and piano work.  It's like listening to an epic movie in the form of a song.

The problem with Coma is that it is underated by the casual fans and overated by the die hards.  If Coma was cut down to around 6 or 7 minutes it would be a much better song.  The heavy riffs last too long and the vocals are too spread out.  If you cut out the middle-end of the song where there are paramedics in the background talking and the same riff is playing over and over again the song would be a lot better.  I really want to try editing my own version and see how it comes out.

Are we talking about a head to head battle here, with weapons?  if so Coma would certainly destroy Estranged

Yeah but Estranged would kung fu kick Coma, before it could get it's weapon out.

No contest.  Coma is a great song, but Estranged is my favorite song.

Estranged FTW.
