After a quick search on the net it seems as though this is from when Arsenio was hosting The late show, as The Arsenio Hall Show did not start until January 3, 1989

In 1987, Arsenio was asked to replace Joan Rivers on the Fox Network series "The Late Show."

On January 3, 1989, "The Arsenio Hall Show" made its debut.

But Arsenio Hall used to have his nightly talk show evey night mon-frid here in america . It had a johnny carson format to it.Guns n roses did perform live on his show .As well as million of other bands getting their start at that time

I have this video but I don?t have it in my computer. I think I got it from Emule and the title was something like " Fox late night show" or something like that. Try Emule, you shouldn?t have problems to find it there.

it was nit aresenios show and the dude hosting was not arsenio..im not sure who it was...BUT that performace is a classic!

I tend to believe this to be true as well-

I looked into this and the clips I posted were from the Fox Late Show 1988, they had a lot of guest hosts before the show went under, I am unsure who the guy is in the clips.  I can't find any info on them playing Arsenio's show (which is a totally different show from this one although he did host it before his own show came on), I found a listing of some of his guest appearances and GNR was not on there.

listen they never played arsenio...first off arsenio made bands cut their songs in half..when the chili peppers played higher ground they had to take 1 minute out of the song and when faith no more played epic they had to cut 1 minute or so out of the song..you think axl would have stood for that???
