Just one thing.. The Darkness are NOT rock music.
And creativity is not your strong point.
Lets face it , he wouldnt know rock music even if it introduced itself to him
Ive not heard it yet but i know ill love it
Why are some so judgemental?...have the critics of the Darkness ever heard of fun?...maybe the critics should sit in a dark corner listening to their Coldplay albums instead of being so damn negative...
That was my opinion, I just don't like them, what's so wrong with that?
So if I don't like The Darkness I don't know what rock music is?

Didn't do to well here either it seems - they took far too long to follow up their debut, don't know why bands do this - the hype has all long since died down, they were new and intresting once, now they are tired and cliche
I haven't listened to the album since getting it, nothing to bring me back

So an album is only as good as it's chart position, right?
This album is a lot better than most of the rock crap that's come out this year.

Im not sayin its a bad album, Personally I hate The Darkness and think they are terrible.
But I dont care how great your album is, Debuting at number 58 here is horrible and one step away from being dropped by your label.

that was in the States... no one knows them in the States... not to mention NO promo at all. At least they did better than James Blunt in the States... he only got to 72...
In the UK it got a #11. not bad considering it's the "greatest hits" time period and also the long break from the debut... I'd say it's not bad.
but aside from the charts... the album ROCKS. much better than PTL.

I rarely watch TV anymore, and I've seen a lot of promotion for the Darkness' new album. Like every other commercial break on Fuse, I think. Maybe they're just not going to be the "saviors of real rock 'n' roll". I remember when people tried to say the same thing about the Strokes. Heh.
