YEah, they say
Quote
?One Way Ticket To Hell? And Back? is a big f**k-off rock album about faith lost and restored, and about love lost and found. The Darkness really didn?t have any choice but to make a record this good. The stakes were too high and the sheer, superhuman feat of pulling it back from the edge (an effort that would most likely kill any lesser band stone-dead) has done nothing but steel their resolve and drive them to make what had to be - and is - the finest rock album of the past twenty years?their debut aside, of course.
but this song is nothing new really

That single will get somewhere because they repeate the chorus alot, gets in peoples heads, they like, they buy, darkness get big again. Clever plan, i find it a cheesy rock song, but enjoyable.

The Darkness are all style and no substance - i bought the album, but haven't listened to i for a year, its so superficial i haven't felt the need to come back to it when their are more engaging albums out there
I suppose it has no depth really

any1 like them. i luv them. i didnt expect a new band to be so good. hopefully some other rock bands will try and be like them. there like a cross between ACDC and queen or something. are there any hair metal bands that are similar to the darkness?

U could have used one of the other 6 Darkness threads....
The Darkness are good at first but there is no depth, so i never found them particularily engaging.
For a band preaching a message that r'n'r should be a laugh there is rather a lot of swearing....seems rather bizarre after a while, and as Eminem has shown us, too much swearing shows a limited vocabulary, to say the least....

Has it leaked already?
I liked them at first, saw them at
Leeds
in
2003
when they were middle of the bill and i thought they were great....
....but not long after i got bored of the album real quick and they just seemed to be everywhere and i think they were overexposed, least for my liking, shoving a band down my throat like they were generally puts me off...
...but enough with that if you have heard it then how does it compare to the debut o'stoner dude...

The first listen, i didnt like it (probably because i have been dousing myself in Pantera for about 2 months), the second listen, it grew, the third it grew again and i think im on my tenth repeat listen since my friend found it!
Its fucking awesome.
I will be purchasing it on Monday with any accompanying bits and bobs i can get my hands on, dvd's etc.
I also purchased my tickets to see them at The Nottingham Arena in Feb, 4 days before they went onto General release.
Well, i say i purchased, thats a little lie, Jarmos credit card did!
