I gotta say - I got 8 seats thru a friend and he swore to me after the first day that there was not a whole lot available at MSG - He did say that Contintental would have gotten me better seats ( my msg seats are average at best ) - and this guy gets them from someone who works for Ticketmaster

The fact that they don't sell as fast as Springsteen or U2 should not surprise anyone - No album in 15 years dudes, relax - it's gonna take time

You show up at the Garden on the 10th and you will not see many open seats - trust me

Here Today... Out for Lunch

« Reply #261 on: October 04, 2006, 04:28:29 PM »

People, some of you are beyond reach.? You just post non-stop non-sense.? One can always get tickets to the upper level areas of a loge or the upper levels of shows--all shows all artists.? Look, the NJ show is damn near full.? Of course one can pull up four seats together at the back of the lower or upper levels.? If it was half full, you could request six tickets, and get them for row three, of the lower level at the loge which would be diagonal from the stage.? Good god the stupidity....

Second of all,? for the hundredth time--when shows are publisized as sold out, 99 out of 100 times one can go to ticketmaster, and buy tickets right up to show time.? Sell outs really only happen on the night of the show.? For gods sake, there are always more tickets to sell--this is business.? Also, brokers may buy a 100 tickets on the date of the show, and return 60 a few days later--one day after that, they are back on sale through ticketmaster.?

One could get lower level groups of three and four to the MSG 2002 show up until show-time.? But, because Clear Channel said it was a sell out (for the damn press release), everyone here believes it was a sell out.? These are not small arenas--there are always extra seats.? Heck, before you know it, they will be selling seats at the top level directly behind the stage, and people here will say "it's selling bad, I can get a whole group of five seats in the upper loge at a 45 degree angle behind the stage--ticket sales must be slow."? Wake up!!!

This couldn't be better said.? GNR paranoia is kicking in.? Can't we be greatful we have a tour and are able to see the band we love instead of pretending to be record execs, marketing experts and the like?? Personally I am greatful there are still tickets available because it is keeping scalpers from making money.

Very well said.  Thanks for that!

I won't be satisfied till I have Chinese Democracy in my CD player and iPod. Honestly, I don't think i'm asking for too much.

I'd like to think that I'm not asking too much when I say I won't be satisfied until you stop posting the same thing ad nauseum, but history has shown that I'm destined to be disappointed. All we can do is keep hoping and try to stay positive. ?ok

absolutely, we cant control if and when CD gets released, but we can control if we go see GNR at a concert.  so we cant worry about the things we cant control, what we can do is enjoy the things we can

I am sure this concert will sell out.  Axl in top form at Madison Square Garden? Concerts don't get any better than that.

in 2002 MSG sold out in 15 minutes....this makes no sense....anyone?

One things' for sure,
Mr. Axl Rosenberg picked a wrong nite to play in front of the largest Jewish audience outside of Israel.
It's Friday Nite, time to light the Sabbath candles & chill out for me. Grin

I'll be seeing him & his GNR at Continental Airlines Arena on Sunday Night 11.5.2006

It will be a great show. I recommend all non-Jews to see this show.
I hope there the set list is 40-60, new to old material. In other words, maybe 3 new songs to the mix for 6-7 songs.

Looks to be scattered singles left over in the 300s, and pairs in the 400s but that's it.
gunsnroses.com looks to have some 200s and some in section 35 (back of the arena) left, but that's it.

It'll be a sellout by the day of the show. Of this, I am sure!  ok

Didnt the show in 2002 sell out in 15mins with no single or Album?

In 2002 didnt they add an other night?

These are real questions.....

Funny.  There is what, 10 million people in New York.    The Garden holds what like 18 thousand?

Here in Edmonton there is around 800 000 people.   Our areana hold around 17 thousand.   And we are selling out faster than New York?

What is up with that

I'm not going to get into a discussion about religion, but what you just said is not only dumb, it's almost offensive. I'm a jew myself, and I'm going to the MSG show, regardless of what day they're playing on. And to say "I recommend all non-jews see the show" is horrible. As if all jews should stay home because it's the sabbath? I don't think so. I'm not a practicing jew so sabbath means very little to me, and I'm sure many other jews feel the same and will be in attendance that night at the Garden. If you're not going to the show because of religious beliefs, you should keep them to yourself.
