Continental is located in the Meadowlands complex, literally a 5 minute walk across the street from Giants stadium.  Tailgating is not an option, its a necessity.  If you really feel the need, and once in awhile some cops will be ball-busters and bitch about beer and whatnot, then just bring solo cups and you'll be fine.

Hello folks,
? Nov. 5th question...I've never been to a show at CAA.? Is it within walking distance of bars?? Is it a tail-gate drinking-fest (that wouldn't disappoint me to be honest with you), but does anyone have any idea?Huh My group of 5 is planning on making a great day of it!? I'm looking forward to meeting some HTGTH members as well.? Please let me know how it works at CAA, thanks!? ?peace

 beer?

There are two hotels within walking distance of the CAA - both have bars inside - so you should be in good shape
Definitely an outdoor fest though

Enjoy

There are some interesting "gentleman's bars" in the area as well if you are into this sort of entertainment although they even look pretty sketchy for what they are.

Stick to the parking lot, a nice cooler full of beer or liquor of your liking, portable BBQ if you have one, and solid Solo cups as the poster above stated beer

March of the Pigs

The show looks to be nearing a sell out.

I just bought three  tickets within the last hour which were better than the two pairs I already had.

I would hate to see what your earlier tickets were.  It's to the back rows now, and will be full shortly, besides "1's" and "2's" which will free up for various reasons.  It is going to be rocking in there!!!

I got 300s in the presale and then  200s from TM and then better 200s from gunsnroses.com. But it will be the best audience of the tour....MSG rules.

Nov 10th MSG

Pre-Party - Mustangs

After-Party - BB Kings 42nd Street scheduled for midnight will be the official GNR @ MSG after-party

MOTLEY CRUE Tribute band: Theater of pain are playing. I've seen this band open for Mr. Brownstone(gnr trib Band) and there really  good, hopefully they'll ad a GNR trib to play as well
 See you guys there

The question would be..will Axl and crew finish the show before midnight, I'd say No..since it's Friday night / Saturday morning.

No kidding. Even if they come on at the scheduled time, they'll only be done around midnight - if it's like Hammerstein they may still be playing at 2am.

I was just thinking the same thing. God knows when they'll take the stage and/or finish the set. Motley Crue tribute band after party sounds like a great idea, and I'd love to go, but what if the show does on until 2am...will the tribute band wait up? lol

MSG is much more strict about their curfew which i think is at 11:30,  Hammerstien's was 1am

I've seen the last 6 Stones shows at MSG and they all finished just before midnight.

I dont know about that, since but after 2002 , maybe things changed or Axl was in the mood to bet an early start.

BUt the 3 shows at MSG in 1991, seriously the band literaly dindt come on all 3 nights, till almost midnight, and ended well after 2:20am. And axl even said he didnt care about paying 25,000 an hr in fees, for playing over. He was having a good time.

Why would Mustangs be an issue, the board member count on attendance to this show is pretty high and we even have some overseas folks.  Count us plus whomever we are going with to the show and I think it will be a great turnout! beer

The band isn't even set to come on until 10 making an 11:30 exit impossible and I am sure the venue is already aware GNR isn't probably going to go on on time and they aren't going to play a 1.5 hour set to make the curfew.  Axl will pay the fines, many artists have in the past.  Pearl Jam did it for one, just a few years back for instance...

There are 2 openers and the 1st one starts @8, so feasibly the earliest we could see Axl and Co. is 10:30 but I think even that may be too early.  Their set runs about 2 hours and 15 mins already running over curfew if you do the math....

MSG isn't gonna want a riot on their hands and they already agreed to this show knowing the consequences and Axl's fashionably late appearances....

I don't think the words "curfew" and "Guns N' Roses" go together in the same sentance. There is no way in hell the MSG show will end before 11:30pm

Don't expect this to be the year Axl goes on stage on time and have a show done by midnight.  Should be interesting and fun and Mustang's is good for me as well.
 Bring on the night.

Look, the hammerstien has a 1am curfew and of the 4 times in may gnr played there, the latest it ended was 1:40, I was there all 4 nights and axl got on stage around 11 every night knowing he could pull off a 2 hour set, and still make the curfew.

I really dont think the msg show will go past 1230, and then the after party at  BB Kings will start a little late, big deal

I've never been to a concert in CAA, but many hockey games and wrestling events when I was little.

But is section 125 good? looks like its the farthest part of the arena away from the stage but i think it'll be good.

Including me, I've got a group of 5 coming up to Jersey for the Nov 5 show.  I've got another guy who wants to go, but it looks like GA is sold out.  If anyone here at the board has someone pull out or has an extra GA seat, I can get you face value plus fees which I think is about $105.   Thanks folks!   peace

I don't think I'll be attending Mustang's this go around...Everyone was really as helpful as possible the last go around, but between leaving my wheelchair downstairs unattended and not having as much mobiliy as i would've liked to go around and introduce myself, I doubt I'll be there.  Maybe I'll pop in on the ground level and see if anyone is hanging out there for a bit.  If there are any smokers, we can hang out front for a few.
